Eric and Alan were original characters created by Yana for the second musical of Kuroshitsuji: (The most beautiful death in the world). They were both Shinigamis. (They appeared as silhouettes on the anime too)
But that musical was amazing I cried so hard with it. They are beloved character for the people that has seen the musical.

I was never a fan of her, either. Especially with the way she treated Taesung. She ignores her OWN son and plays favorites with her friend's son, right in front of him, and likely she only treats Haebom that way because, as you said, he's her friend's son. Ugh, I actually loathe her.
