So to sum up everything, Saffron fell and he died.
A new golden stone child was born and he was named Saffron. Now, the new young Saffron was lost in the forest and Kai, who now lives in the forest ever since the old Saffron died, met the new Saffron and asked the new Saffron if he was lost in the forest.
Kai told the new Saffron that when he dies, he wants to be buried at the base of the tree (which presumably the old Saffron was buried there too).
So now the new Saffron grew up and Kai probably died of old age. And the new Saffron buried Kai under the huge tree and gave flowers to Kai who was now buried with the old Saffron.
This is a really bittersweet story. I read the final chapter twice to understand what was going on... （/TДT)/
