To be honest, i like how their relationship were foreshadowed. The scent thingy was the clue that hae in is his love interest. I understand why people were confused that this date is out of the blue but if you will consider the situation that they are in, it's not weird because some of us will also think that way.
Besides, the writer hinted many times about hae in and jinwoo's connection, I don't know why people still find this weird. Although I was confused at first because of the first woman that he's been with (because I though she was the love interest not until I read the book) I was able to understand that what he felt towards that woman is gratitude for always saving him.
Although, some were disappointed but for me, I feel like this is the proof that jinwoo is still a human, capable of being hurt, sad, happy and capable of loving someone despite of the chaotic situation. Being with someone he loves makes him feel that he is still the human jinwoo.
FINALLY ! A someone with good reasoning.
It's sad that they did not end up together but they do not deserve each other. Chiwoo deserves to be happy, at peace and free and being with Kyujin can make him feel that way. Jihyun deserves happiness too but not with Chiwoo. All of you want Jihyun and Chiwoo just because you pity him but what about Chiwoo? As much as you like Jihyun, what he did is unforgivable and Jihyun was a poison for him as well as Chiwoo for Jihyun.
I did not even bother to read the parallel story just because I feel bad, I can't seem to like the idea of Jihyun and Chiwoo together after everything that he did.
In short, Kyujin lang sakalam
The parallel story happened differently from the real story. So in this one, Jihyun never abused Chiwoo. I actually love the way it was written because it made it easier for me to read it. So I think you should too because it might be worth it :-)
