ive been reading 19 days for quite a while so lemme help yall out. if you read the chapters 48 below, you can see that jian yi is wearing a highschool uniform. specifically in chapter 48 jian stated "i wanna go to the same college as you (xi)". zheng xi is in college. around chapter 53 it brings us to jian yi and zheng xi in their highschool years. so its a flashback!
for mo and he tian's situation, its part of the flashback. i think that after tian helped mo pee he told him he was going to leave because of his dad. if you read chapter 348 he tian's brother was processing he tian's transferee files. so the reason why he tian is so clingy to mo is because he is leaving soon.

do you mean why is jian yi still in high school? im pretty sure they are all the same age but if you remember at the beginning, xixi talks about how his best friend, jian yi, just disappeared one day. so from that we can assume when he had to disappear to escape danger he wasnt keeping up in school and had to pick back up where he was, leaving him a year behind xixi
