there’s this one account i had to block for saying the most annoying and horrible takes about soo-ae and glazing tf outta raim. i hate when readers with underdeveloped brains try to make nuanced takes about kind, friendly, and bubbly main characters because nothing is wrong with those traits or inherently boring. it feels like projection when they overly hate mc for her ability to treat everyone nicely and call her shallow for not having trauma. the hate on soo-ae is so forced because it’s easy to tell those ppl never had secure male friendships or can’t separate dohwas perspectives from mcs!!! calling her a bop or pretending to be naive is grossly misogynistic, because fl are never allowed to act human or treat others like people apparently. soo-ae has never once done anything that leaves room for misunderstanding between her/dowha and has always had a soft spot for ml
the sudden influx of raim lovers is so hilarious because they act like her. raims familial trauma and inferiority complex is something she could’ve sought help with, with soo-ae. but no, instead she relies on male validation and would rather secretly plot against her innocent best friend as a way to feel better about her circumstances and look down on mc. they overly defend her actions and think her “complexity” makes her likable… but did they know bad characters can be held responsible or disliked for doing bad things LMAO?? there’s honestly nothing enjoyable about her personality traits unless you find manipulative, victim complex characters interesting. and that’s literally fine!! but to justify her actions and bash on mc for stupid reasons makes me laugh so badly
