I see why she hated them. It's a long, nourished and painful hatred that wouldn't leave her and allow her to be happy.
I reckon after the death of her mother she was highly depressed, and following that being sold out to the family who beat her mother to death??? Nop impossible.
She only survived so long because she knew he loved her and wanted to inflige pain to him for the lie... I guess the blood running through him.
BUT. I know she was young and a child, yet she was quite naïve wasn't she?
She really thought adult didn't notice or supervise her mother actions.
By actively trying to come see her, I feel like she's the one who started it...
Another way for the stepmother to take revenge, instead of separating them further, let them be close and BAM!

... soooooo it's her fault that an EVIL PIECE OF SHIT DECIDED TO BEAT AND KILL HER MOTHER. Did I read that correctly? Not the evil piece of shit's fault for being a low life an abusing and killing another INNOCENT human being.
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. So you clearly have colonizer blood running through your veins if you don't understand how fucked up that sounds. (ಠ_ಠ)

You seems stressed! I mean, calm down a minute and maybe your comprehension skills will be able to follow my logic better.
Assuming what or whose blood I have I genuinely crazy, what am I supposed to answer to that???
Anyway, she was naïve as a child and it's okay, but yes she was. I understand her behavior as an adult towards the people around her.

I mean, I story like that.
MC wants revenge, so he change the "story line" so much that affects everything around, and he end up being confused.
I like how the triplet changed, how passive "affectionate" Hugo is. But after knowing why he's like that I'm angry ?
Hugo basically screwed his own children, an army of children he planned, just for his daughter? I would go ballistic.
Idk, he loved Penelope so much that everything else after her don't matter anymore .
I can accept favouritism but like, if that was me I would make my revenge even more destructive.
I hope he don't let go of his anger bc

So, we do agree it's a manhwa? then from what I see the clothes they're wearing are hanfu right ? so does that mean hanfu exist in korean culture or I'm missing smth ?
It's just a innocent question, I'm curious!

Way way waaaaay back in ancient Korea, before Korea became unified and was still split into smaller kingdoms, Chinese culture had a BIG influence because these kingdoms paid tribute to China as an ally and as an extortion fee. Through this there was a one way exchange of fashion, literature, religion, and etc. So don't be surprised if you see Chinese influences.

Yes. Hanmoon or hanjja is made up of Chinese characters, but Korean pronunciations. WAY later on King Seojung realized most of his people were illiterate and only the upperclass had access to learn all those characters, so for the rest of his reign he committed his life to creating hangul, the Korean alphabet which was made up of consonants and vowels and way easier to remember and use.

Yup! Even though I was born in the USA, I learned to read and write hangul, so I get the perspective of 2 different "worlds," and can better explain it to my non Korean friends. My dad is also an amateur ancient Korean history buff, so I've been learning this from him since I was little, while my mom has traditional Confucius values, sprinkled with some knowledge of country Korean shamanism...even though she's a Christian...lol!
It's a change to see a couple being able to communicate and see from each other's pov.
Some of you are in fact toxic as hell, think about it. Sheriel has been angry her whole life.
She's been full of hatred, sadness and negative emotions since her childhood.
That hatred was eating her every day more and more, it destroyed herself and others.
She has the right to be angry like that, it's totally normal and logical.
But, she was given the choice to move on from that anger. That the point of her discussion with the witch. She got the choice and she took it. Her depression, her rage was never undeserved. She just needed a moment, a little while of happiness among all of her pain.
Now, maybe she should have felt a little bit more conflicted but idk, I'm just happy seeing her happy.
Kian should have groveled more, not exaggeratly tho he was also just a child after all.
Sorry meant to like TvT
But i completely agree with you dhxbanzjxu
