I am more confused about the original plot. Like I first thought Isotta would be just using fl as we was described as someone who depends on her. But she actually cares a lot about fl, so there must have been some drama in the original storyline, since both love interests were involved in fl death? Or did Isotta never found out who was the killer and just gave up (which is not in character either)

He's quite possessive, but also quite broken in a way. He reminds me of Minho from Sadistic Beauty, just much crazier. If you read the raws (chapter 114), Minho in that chapter and this guy in this chapter are quite similar. It's just that Minho's story is a lot more sadder in my opinion. This manga kinda shows less emotion in the characters while just by seeing the eyes of the people in Sadistic Beauty you can see what they are feeling. (Also I translated a little bit of the Spanish raws of that manga so it's sad compared to this, which is only concerning..)
