Probably because he's the ciel we know, we've known from the beginning, and we've loved. He's OUR main character and not his brother. So he's O!Ciel to us
I think its because we dont really know our!Ciels name (as far as I know) and he was Ciel for such a long time. I dont know when its started.

Like agni died just before O!Ciel found out about R!ciel at the manor and according to the scotland yard who raided the hall, Polaris's room was already torn and unkempt as if he was constantly destroying everything meaning even before Agni died, Polaris was and already has a room in the hall. So basically he was using the room there even before Agni died. If this even makes any sense
I understand Agni could've been revived by Undertaker but certain things just points to no, like Agni's cremation and Polaris already being into existence when Agni was still alive.
