Param was obviously in a state of confusion and had hatred towards Mr. Han. Mr. Han knew that Param resented him so in order to gain Param’s trust back, he gave a sob story to add to Param’s confusion and tried to validate his actions of approaching Param with ill intentions, I’d say this is clear manipulation but it is also Param’s fault for dismissing these actions.
Did Param accept Mr Han's move because of guilt? Because he pitied Han? NO, the story had no such effects on Param. The story was just Han explaining why he did those things and that he isn't scheming something bad.
So idk how you call this manipulation. Param wasn't manipulated. He loves Han, since the begining. And so he is accepting Han.
Please use context clues. Param felt nothing but anger and betrayal towards Mr. Han previously before Mr. Han told Param his story. If he had not interfered with that story Param would’ve left with ill feelings towards Mr. Han. By Mr. Han explaining his side of the story he was trying to justify why he wanted to harm Param. If you go reread the chapter Param shows signs of hesitation, now that there is an excise for Mr. Han’s actions he is even more confused. Still not calling this manipulation? Let me explain further. In this moment of hesitation Param clearly sets a boundary and says “wait, i have feelings for someone else.” Han then continues to kiss Param. Stop trying to say ut wasn’t manipulation when it clearly was. I’m not saying Han is to blame for everything because they’re BOTH at fault, i’m just explaining why this interaction was toxic.

Since the begining of the story Param has liked Han. And even when he is angry at Mr Han, he still like him. He has been shifting towards Hwi but we have the cliché "i like both".
Saying it's manipulation because Param is confused doesn't even make sense at all. Not to mentoom, Param isn't confused about Han's action. It's clear that he is still mad because he got hurt, and yet can't refuse Han because he still likes him.
If someone come and confess his feelings. Then he exlain that he was harsh to you because he was afraid you might notice his feelings. Then he starts a move on you.

I don't think we are reading the same thing because this chapter clearly demonstrates the way how Mr. Han manipulated param by taking advantage of how he feels towards him, param clearly showed hesitation when Mr. Han tried to kiss him showing how he was not ready or didn't want to do it.
Using your love to make you kiss me is NOT manipulation. Please....that's like the basic thing every couple does.
Han noticed that Param was still attracted to him / that Param still likes him. So he made a move. That is normal and nothing wrong with that because he was right, Param wasn't against it. Not stopping Han is showing that he is good with whats happening. And it's not like Param froze in fear. He opened his mouth for the kiss.
Therefore, Param wanted it and you have to learn what manipulation.
Like I said I’m not going to argue with you. I majored in psychology and I’m willing to bet that this is manipulation. But you’re entitled to your own opinion.
