so we know by now that yoon jaehyuk had major internalized homophobia at the start of the story. what if his mom (who is clearly the one who runs things in his family) is homophobic and what if when garam & jaehyuk start dating and jaehyuk goes to tell her she says some shit and garam is like "omg I should've known" thinking jaehyuk is gonna run away cause of it (cause yk his trauma with that one guy or whatever) but then jaehyuk instead stands up for him & garam and proves, again, that he's whipped for garam <3
or someone could mention meeting family or smth and jaehyuk is like "eeehhh" cause he doesn't really get along with his fam (from what I remember) and garam gets emo about it thinking it's for the wrong reasons lmao you get what I mean though (also I need to stop replying to my own comments like this is a twitter post lmao)
I think he did because of certain comments he'd made in the past.. for example once he said "you don't need to be attracted to a girl to have sex with her" which reminds me of comphet (and I'm pretty sure he said that before he & garam ever slept together, but I could be wrong). also he kept denying how attracted to garam he was a LOT especially in the beginning and again it just makes me think he was trying to subconsciously push down any of those feelings (also I feel like usually ppl who are homophobic at one point in their life and then later realize they're actually queer usually act overly homophobic like jaehyuk did in the beginning. like being very loud about it for no reason even when other people aren't even talking about it lmao. like overcompensating)
if the sunbae has been the thief this whole time I'm gonna laugh so hard lmao. unless the one guy had his sleeve rolled up before seungha got there, how would he know about the scar unless he lied about not seeing him before? i really like the sunbae (though I can't remember his name;;;), so either way i like him and this story is so interesting but i do have a little doubt in the back of my mind that is like "what if he's been tricking seungha this whole time?" didn't people say smth about him being an actor or idol trainee in the beginning? what if he's secretly twisted lmao
He's being so nice & kind to everyone around him not even knowing two of those assholes SA'd him :((( At first I was worried Yoo-il would misunderstand and think Hyesung cheated on him once he found out he'd been touched by other people but it seems like he's gonna help him get away from his attackers! :) I'm still nervous though that one of those people Yoo-il had to sleep with for his reputation (like that one lady) is gonna come back and call him again and he's gonna feel like he has no choice but to do what they say and then it'll make drama between him & Hyesung..
and I love seeing him break through the barrier of his internalized homophobia lmao. it was so obvious to me that from the beginning he's been struggling with that (DRAMATICALLY homophobic (overcompensating?), saying 'you don't need to be attracted to a woman to have sex with her' (I believe that to be comphet :( ), confusing his feelings for garam as anger, convinced he finds him ugly when he actually adores him, etc etc)
and I'm struggling to like the seme why does he not grasp the concept that some people are just nice?? that doesn't make them a pushover lmao. If he's going out to the store, why would the others wait for smth to be ordered and delivered online when uke can just grab it while he's already out?? and I understand the money thing, but some people just genuinely don't like having their family & friends pay them back for small stuff like that. he's just a bit of an asshole who doesn't like ppl lmao and that's making him misconstrue uke's kind nature & closeness with the others as him being a pushover, but he's not that at all lol
There’s nice and then there’s people pleasing. I think the seme is trying to communicate his frustration with the ukes overly accommodating nature. When someone is nice because they are people pleasing it becomes unhealthy because they’re unable to communicate their boundaries out of fear. The seme is just trying to show the uke that it’s ok to say no. He literally says in one of the chapters that he has to break the ukes habit of not clearly communicating his boundaries and consent. In the context of a sub/dom dynamic in yaoi this relationship is incredibly healthy and the seme is a very responsible and respectful dom.
yeah, further in now and that's clearer lol. I was just really frustrated with the first situation cause why would he NOT pick up some stuff for his friends lmao?? and it's not like they pressured him into paying for them, they all offered to pay first and he turned them down. although I can see how it could get annoying if he's ALWAYS the one sent out to pick shit up. and the thing where one of the guys was like "can you do the interview instead of me?" did bother me a little, I was just consumed by the store thing cause as someone with a big family, that's pretty normal to do for each other lmao and the seme was making such a big deal about that particular task. (and I also wanted to say that I am very into bdsm and understand the necessary boundaries and healthy dynamics needed in a sub/dom relationship! but I thank you for being so polite with your reply even though you were disagreeing with me :) not everyone is so nice)
Oh ok! Honestly when I read the comment I didn’t see that you were only one chapter in, I wouldn’t have disagreed if I did lol. I didn’t feel annoyed at the semes reaction because I feel like it was used to tell us more about the direction of the seme and ukes character growth than about the semes overall personality. I was really fired up about analyzing the characters to predict the plot so I didn’t think about comparing it to reality. Thank you for taking the time to respond! I really enjoyed hearing your perspective :))
why are they the cutest
