10/5 STARS
The uke is subtle with his spontaneity and his love is SO PURE for the seme. Like I've read this manga COUNTLESS times by now and I will still bring myself back to it. I bought it on both Renta Japan and Renta Taiwan just so I could get the bonus stories. The story is so heart-wrenching. Don't know how the artist did it in such a way - the emotions were expressed with such a intricacy but also effortlessly.
I really love the delinquent straight guy that gets converted by cute quiet uke kind of plot. The uke is quiet but he isn’t gloomy and useless like a lot of other quiet uke's, he's got a rigid but not off putting determination which I found super admirable. I can never get enough of the manga and I think this manga fits all the criteria of a perfect yaoi manga. Highly recommend it. The art is so clean but amazingly drawn! Oh also the whole manga is dedicated to this couple hence why I think it's more realistic (not just short chapters) and makes me love it even more as each chapter gets better! ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ

Today I forced myself (like really made up my mind to read it despite how scared I was lol) to finish reading this from the beginning to the end in one go because I was curious what all that hype was about. Since its even been made into an anime series by a fan (if you are curious just google it). Not gonna lie, for someone to make such an effort for an manhwa series made me intrigued (even tho I dropped this after reading the first 2 chapters). I remember found out about this series last year? Idk a long long time ago (could be in 2018). Nothing has changed when I started from the beginning again today. I was still scared reading the first chapters. I generally give myself time to go through the first 10 chapters for a manhwa series to see whether or not I would keep going with it. Surprisingly around chapter 5 onwards it was not as scary rather I couldnt stop myself from reading it. I think my age has also given me some resilience haha (at age 28). I am a big yaoi fan (prefer positive story vibe and ending always). I dropped KS at first thinking that it was pure horror and when it ended people said the ending was sad. I avoided it for a while. Now after reading the whole thing I think it is a series that can be read by all genders but still with an age restrction (not for the faint of heart). There were a lot of symbolic scenes within the series that made me think a lot in both protagonists shoes. I feel sorry for both but at the same time I feel confused. I do not like Bum as a character but he is someone I feel like I could understand and maybd rather he could be a part of me that I also hide with my social masks to people on the outside. I think this manhwa makes me think a lot and will probably spend the rest of the day digesting it. Theres sense of suspension in every chapter and honestly by the end I am glad it was all over. Like so f*cking glad!!!

The storyline was confusing with all the names up to chapter 4 and like who's against who and all...but yeah definitely was a bit blurry for the first 2/3 chapters...hot intimate scenes tho like their bodies (that art was mmm) were top notch ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

I want there to be a series about Naru and his love life (Apparently he's got 3 lovers (2 male and 1 female) according to the character description at the end of the 1st series. I only understand the kanji part so not sure if I read it right)
I think Naru is the most intriguing character of them all. He embodies the ultimate beauty of both a woman and a man. Feminine yet masculine, like a good half half. He has the social tongue and knows how to work around things...He's the darkest of them all too I reckon. He would be so much fun to read about compare to the other two couples.

My family is full of italian men, they're all good for nothing, like they all make sexist or racist jokes, are not romantic at all (im sorry but being sexually open is just a western thing and not romantic) and very flirtatious, with like anyone, not good if you want really loyal partners, my dad is italian and he cheated on my mom a bunch of times, same for others italian guys i know

Only up to chapter 10 and I already feel like Doyun is a prideful pain-in-the-ass omega like for what? what makes him think he can be stubborn and pretentious considering he does not take full responsibilities of his own actions (not taking the meds properly and acting like a kid), not educating himself well enough based on his condition and keeps on blaming others for his own circumstances. I guess I will keep reading and see what happens....

You'll fall in love with this, just bear with it

I think it's rare that a BL manhwa/manga/manhua has touched base on the subject of homophobia. Esp coming from the main character himself as far as introducing the seme girls, narrow minded about the whole same sex love mindset, constantly making comments on seme's sexuality etc. I was beyond angry when he continues doing that in the chapters but also understand why he acts like that. (that i even went as far as yelling at my phone as if I was talking to him lololol)

Cos the reality is not everyone is understanding even after gay marriage is legalised in many countries. It's still a touchy subject even for me as bi/pansexual (who's only been with a girl so far up to this point as a girl at the age of 28, been w her for 8-9 years dating wise). Not everyone's understanding esp people at work and my family is the same still etc. When the uke said the homophobic stuff it reminds me of my parents...I guess why I hate it cos it's too real. I think it's great though he began to understand as he started talking to people around him and realised his feelings for the seme. So glad they are happy together and that the artist filled up those confusions in the extras. Worth reading! (I'm considering buying the series on Tappytoon - I mean I've already own Walk on Waters thanks to mangago but am thinking to buy this and maybe Stigma haha)

    L.GAGA May 27, 2020 3:19 pm

    Well said!

    pancakes June 9, 2020 5:03 pm

EXACTLY. Too often the issue of homosexuality in mangas is never explicitly discussed. Like a lot of mangas make t seem like the hiding and sneaking around is just something non cis would have to deal with for the rest of our lives. But I like here how there is an explicit discussion on the backlash the President experience for being open about it and ESPECIALLY when he mentions how even non straights themselves can be the biggest heckler in coming out. Im glad they arent brushing it off as just another gatuitous BL but are actually tring to tackle homophobia and homosexuality in a way that makes people understand it easily.

To more stories that will hopefully remove the stigma! I hope you live well and happy OP!

Honestly since I don't understand Japanese except going along with the manga drawing itself...it seemed to me that EITHER Cole didn't come clean to Alex at all and found out from Brad OR Cole DID come clean to Alex and still had a convo with Brad (or it could be other possibilities...either way Alex didn't seem THAT pissed cos he didn't pull the trigger on Cole like Cole did (honestly feel like he's such a hypocrite for doing that). The 2nd book didn't end with a bad note for sure.

    Lmfaoodawg May 18, 2020 8:27 am

What happened in the end? Are Alex and Cole still together?
