This is what I don't understand reading romance manhwa or other manhwa similar to this, why is everyone so accepting to FL flaws and saying she deserves better or saying she a bad bitch so she doesn't need him but make the ML not Disney prince perfection or picture perfect , comments like he doesn't deserve her , I hate him or he the worst ML ever , at this point it just sexist like what about learning and growing from each other , accepting each other flaws and finding love. For the people who are mature in body and mind go for stories like duchess of the glass house and what it mean to be you , this are manhwa that have ML and FL growing and accepting each other flaws and mistakes. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
What are you talking about, most webtoons I read still makes the fl stay and accept the shitty ml. They usually show a redemption chapter just for us to accept the shitty ml. Similar to this webtoon it's showing the ml's side. The only webtoon I remember where the original husband and the fl didn't get the end game is remarried, empress. But I agree that some webtoons are too accepting of the wrongdoings of the fl sometimes. I literally dropped a webtoon because the fl stole a family heirloom from another kingdom and put the emperor's life in danger, then just because the fl saves her from the thing she caused. He falls in love with her and excuses her crimes. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
In what it means to be you, many readers including me preferred that they don't end up together. Obviously, because their marriage is terrible like the ml neglected her which is literally a type of abuse, and people are harming her from his and her family. She even ended up committing suicide thrice and the ml didn't do much. But since he's the ml it's expected that the fl forgives and accepts him even though their relationship was mostly filled with the worst experiences for the fl.
But I do agree that it can be sexist for different reasons. Like why does the fl need to sacrifice a lot for the fl? Why does she need to stay and forgive the ml when he has been a shitty and terrible husband or person towards the fl?
