Hello everybody ! So I have been wondering for some time now and I need your help ! ^^ First I apologize in advance if you find it hard to understand me... I'm not English native :D I read BL for quite some time now, and well, I really love it I guess. I like when there is a REAL plot and not only smut (but I also enjoy when there is not so much sex). But what I love the most is the ART. The art is very very VERY important to me, and sometimes I really refuse to read a story even if thousands people recommend it because I find the art ugly. So, of course the best of the best is when the characters are simply beautiful, attractive, well built... (I just adore Nekota Yonezou, MinGwa or Sakyou Aya for example). But that's not the only thing which makes me think the art is beautiful. Some artists don't draw in a way I would call beautiful BUT they really succeed to capture the FEELINGS. Like when the characters cuddle or whatever, you can feel their love, it's provoking goose bumps and all. So maybe you don't find them attractive but they are just SO charming. (2/4)
Weeeell that's a fuc**ng long introduction to my question XD So, mostly because I'm desperately looking for more and more stories with great art, I discovered Korean Manhwas and Webcomics through BJ Alex (MinGwa <3). I absolutely ADORED the story and the art so I decided to find other Korean stories... And there, we arrive to my question : WTF is going on with Korean semes ?? This are just examples of stories I read but : - Addiction - Marry me alpha - Back to school - Hogu Hagyeongsu (this was the ABSOLUTE worse) (3/4)
What's going on, really ?! Is it like... A national genre to have such awful dicks as main characters ?? I really don't understand.. I like drama in stories, I can enjoy sometimes that one character is experiencing some hardships but... I have the feeling that in those stories we just experience pain for nothing. Normally, when you read, you must enjoy it, or is it me ?! When you finish a story, you're supposed to feel great, no ?! So yeah, my question is : Have I just read only "bad" stories and lots of "great" ones DO exist... Or... Yeah, Korean stories tend to be completely fucked up with psycho semes making the uke suffering only for pleasure ? Sorry for the awfully long monologue ^^" And thank you if you read and answer me. the manhwa tackles realistic social issues that many would relate to the most, such as pursuing one's passion, findings ways to survive through the day (money/food) and gender roles in the community. it's a light read. also, the art is very good especially the colors which bring more warmth to the overall mood of the manhwa.

Thank you ! Yeah I am already reading Mo Dao Zu Shinaide by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu, and the art is absolutely gorgeous (it's a Chinese Manhua). So I will certainly read the one you're recommending in the future ! And for At The End of the Road, it's in my wish list but I am afraid to read it, because of what I am saying about Korean stories XD when I read the comments, I am afraid that this story is just another shitty one about shitty characters who only hurt each others for no reason.
