The term "mistress" in historical and romantic context is a derogatory term for a kept woman, who is showered with love by the man (usually an aristocrat) and is used for sexual pleasures and escapades but she's of a lower (mostly commoner) status and therefore cannot become the legal wife. Furthermore, such women were looked with despise and scorn in polite society, and people commonly accepted the legal wife and treated her with the respect she deserves by law. So here, your statement that the queen is the mistress is wrong, nor is she treated as one, nor by her husband or her subjects. But legal wives are mostly neglected in favor of the mistresses, which is why wives usually are filled with jealousy and hatred towards the mistresses. Look at all the downsides of a mistress and think how Ariadne will be treated by all if she becomes one - she'll be disrespected wherever she goes!

Okay I get what you’re saying but is all that worth it though? She’s not happy, can’t/won’t leave her marriage why would she want to put someone else in her position? Yes she has power but no freedom.

I wanted to clarify just that one point, apart from that I totally agree with u. I don't think even one of the two is happy, neither the queen, who has the power but not the love, and neither is the mistress happy because even though she has the love (it's time limited not infinite), she doesn't have the power! Both of them want something they don't have while taking advantage of what they have! But ultimately it's a game of power, and both will fight for it, despite their unhappy situation. And the queen is least bothered about Ariadne, if she doesn't give a damn about her own son's happiness. These are all selfish people who only see others as pawn, and they're so used to it that they don't bat an eyelash even if their mother is at stake. Especially their own children who are nothing but objects to sell off to the highest bidder. Sad but true! I truly pity the queen but I also know that the situation she's in is her own doing and if asked to choose between power or love, she'd choose power! Luckily Ariadne has been through it all, she already knows how it was like to be a mistress and to crave power, so in no way will she let anything distract her from her revenge, hopefully! Sorry for ranting, and would just like to add that I agreed with both your comments, and I'm just adding some to it.

I totally agree with this. She needs to get her revenge I personally want it for her little sister that was murdered by her own sister. I cried so much during that scene that I wish I could help with the revenge

Me too. I was so shocked to see a healthy child who was playing one moment only to die in the next! But it wasn't a surprise that Isabella killed her, even though she reached a new low by doing that. Killing a step-sister is one thing, but killing your full-blooded sibling is seriously sick. Furthermore, she killed a kid ffs, how horrible is that! What's even more horrible is that she might not even feel guilty about it, but instead be feeling - Good riddance! Just thinking this makes my skin crawl. I just hope she knows that what goes around comes around, and for her it will be much MUCH worse... she's awoken a fiercer-than-ever unquenchable fire in Ariadne and I just cannot wait to see Ariadne's brand of Vengeance! This concoction better be potent enough for Isabella to ask for a hundred deaths!

Fully agreed I can’t stand her. I really can’t wait for the revenge. She killed her own sister and didn’t even regret it nor mourned her properly. I honestly hate her. I cried so much. I’m also curious to know how fl saw those memories.

Yeah, it's new. She definitely didn't have this power. Author is yet to reveal how she got it, or what triggered it. It's unfair that they show something this huge and just keep us waiting patiently until the Reveal. But I'm excited nonetheless!

The uke was being threatened and restrained. He can't move freely and he's been under surveillance of our psychotic seme. He was being forced and thus making him experience some psychological trauma. So it is obvious that the uke is the one suffering stockholm syndrome. Search it up if you don't know what that means. How would you confuse who's suffering who? （/TДT)/
