I wont lie, I’ve encountered hella stories where main characters have had like up to ten years in difference and it was unlikable but the plot makes you accept them but for this one. This one feels like to much. At least in others the weirdos and perverts only saw the younger one as a friend but the one here SPECIFICALLY thought of her as his daughter and child. Like he used his own words and said it. This is too weird and nasty ughhh
So true, in other manhwas usually the age gap is just few years but in this manhwa the ML literally met and raise the FL when she was a baby.

I have been through a relationship like this before. It didn’t end well because we knew that if we continue being together, nothing was going to change. I constantly held onto him because he was my comfort, he tried to push me away and I still followed after him until I was faced with reality that our relationship is going in an endless cycle rather than growing together. Thats why we split and we are both happy in our own way.
I get mixed feelings on who to blame. The brother is to blame but I also think the mom is the most to blame. The mom never treated her children the same. It was always the brother. Everything is for the brother. What the mother-in-law said about how daughters are not loyal and reckless is such a dumb thing to believe. Both genders can have that outcome but as long as you treasure your children and have good parenting, they won’t go through the wrong path.
I think this is not as bad as I thought it would be. I feel like I am learning about the mental disorder displayed on the manga. It reminds me how all children deserve parents but not all parents deserve children. If you think about it, parenting is a skill that is key to raising kids to be successful. The second is having a good environment. Children become who they are by picking up things around them be it people, movies and etc.
She literally qualifies as a duchess so why not have her brother divorce her sister-in-law and she marry her bro instead? Actually he's just a successor in name. The reason why they're so pressed in marrying Karhan off is that when he gets married they will suck money up from the bride and get back the eldest son to inherit the dukedom. Karhanis the one being married off to the FLs family in this situation. He will not have the right to carry the last name of their family because of that and he will be politically removed from the household.

In this case he wasn't written as an official heir. Coz if you notice he wasn't publicly introduced in a ball or he didn't have an official audience with the emperor to be recognized as heir. So Karhan is pretty much in same situation as a daughter who is gonna be married away.
Which wouldn't solidify anything since he is replaceable any moment on especially when the eldest son return from exile.
