If I’m not wrong, yes Danny does love Chloe, and somewhere you might notice how Oz told Danny to stop “bragging” about his marriage (the scene where they shared the cake I think?).

I meant the last conversation between theo and chloe why was theo reassuring chloe that danny loves her and only her? Like it wasn't something chloe really believes in?

Ahhhh yes that one. Well this is my assumption completely, but I believe it has to do with the promise between Theo and Danny when they were kids, where Theo promised not to leave Danny when he got married and that they’d all stay together. Chloe was worried about Theo because he left the person he loved, Oz. And to this Theo assure her saying stuff like don’t you worry he loves you so the both of you should be happy? Maybe??

From what I see, (correct me if I'm wrong) Chloe asked Theo if it was fine to give up on someone that he loves (Oz), Theo reassured to her that it's fine because Danny would never do something like that to her, so she doesn't have to worry. Then Theo says when compared to Danny's love for Chloe, Theo's love for Oz doesn't even compare (because i believe in this moment he probably gave up on Oz since Oz told Theo to go home right)

Unknowingly, Chloe accidentally put Theo on the spot so Chloe was like " That's not what I meant, Theo, sorry " so she apologized and felt guilty.

I guess we all have different interpretations well from what I see Danny has been obsessing over Theo, trying to protect his innocence and all. His overprotectiveness kinda transcended from just being a normal childhood friend. I believe he also loves theo, well specifically his idea of theo, more than he loves Chloe. I believe Chloe senses this and knows that she isn't the no. 1 in Danny's heart. When she asked Theo if he's okay, I see Chloe also being anxious, a normal and very human response, that if Theo stays then Danny will continue obsessing over him. That's why Theo was reassuring Chloe that it's okay, that Danny loves her and all, since it's what Theo believes in, but it's not necessarily the actual fact. Then Chloe apologized because Theo was able to notice her anxiety even though she herself wasn't aware of what she truly meant when she asked if Theo was okay.

No,I don’t think that’s it. The point of Danny’s fear is that his brother ‘abandoned’ him during his rumspringa and never came back. Theo was there when it happened and they made a promise to be friends forever. Danny doesn’t love Theo romantically. It’s the pain of having to say goodbye a second time to a person he loved in a familial way. Chloe is in a romantic relationship with a Danny and has mentioned that Danny is much more than he appears to be because she knows him. She’s smart, like what Danny said.

Lol sorry, I don’t mean “friends forever”, I meant family forever. It’s not that he’s obsessed with Theo but rather obsessed with the idea that he might once again be abandoned by someone he loves. He doesn’t want to experience the pain he felt when his brother, Gene left. I also thought Danny had a thing for Theo but I reread this story more than five times and it eventually clicked in my head.

Danny was like, no, not Theo. He’s a simple guy, he’ll never leave our family behind. He’s not like Gene. By the time his rumspringa is over, Theo will stay with the family, like he said all those years ago. So the spin-off is out and we get to see Gene’s POV years ago and I have a feeling that he came back to them (the flashback scene in this manga) to announce he won’t be coming back. I think Gene confessed he’s in love with a man to his family (Danny and Gene are brothers). I have a feeling that’s the reason why Danny was angry and saying it’s wrong for two men to be together. That’s why he was repulsed seeing Oz with Theo in this manga. It’s all coming together lol.

Crap I didn't understand well since the author types in korean, but it was a side story for "If you hate me so", her other work and a parallel universe of this. It's still a Dojin x Hyesung chapter tho
