Where in this chapter did mafuyu do or say anything to Uenoyama?? Where in the story did you see Mafuyu treating Uenoyama like a replacement? What is wrong with everyone. Stop that! And stop taking it out on mafuyu!

I kind of want to know the same. I keep replying to people because i genuinely want to know why they are interpreting it as Mafuyu is using him as a replacement etc. But people just get mad instead of conversing

I don’t think he’s using him as a replacement but there’s still a lot of feelings and emotions that mafuyu still has for Yuki, I feel bad for Ue because even tho yuki is dead he’s still “there” I just want mafuyu to open up about things

not so much as a replacement, more of a rebound. no one, not even irl, will be able to get over their first love who died in just a year(it usually takes a few years for grieving for most). it was obvious through mafuyu's song that he still had a lot he hadn't dealt with. maybe he let some of that go, and is trying to move on with uenoyama, but uenoyama is really getting the short end of the stick here. he fell in love w someone who lost someone. i think that sometimes he doesn't feel like he measures up . it's kind of hard when everyone keeps bringing yuki up. but despite that, ueno still takes mafuyu's feelings in consideration, because he loves him. now we just need to see a little more of that from mafuyu.

There is definitely a lot of feeling there, and they will probably be their for a long time. I just don't see anything wrong with that. I get you though. It'll solve a lot of insecurities if Mafuyu could open up but as most of us saw during the song in the anime, it's hard for him to do so.

I don't see how Mafuyu is using him as a rebound tbh. Based on what we've read so far, Mafuyu isn't dating Ue to get over Yuki etc but dating him because he has come to like him. But anyways, thanks for actually answering the anons questions. I was genuinely curious about other peoples views on those things.

please dont be angry i love them too ahhahahaha maybe replacement is too much? but let me explain myself. Uhmm i really "know" Mafuyu loves Ue but there is too much Yuki that i cant focus his love for him. That's why i said i want to "feel". I think this Yuki issue is need to done already. Plus i feel that after the that song everything will be alright. ( ididnot watch anime cuz want to read manga first) Also i know that Mafuyu cant forget (also dont need to forget) Yuki because they did not fight or anything, he died. It is too difficult (i know how diff. is ;;;;;) but still even now he has someone new he loves, Mafuyu is still very attached to his feelings for Yuki and the past. That's why i said he should say goodbye. I feel bad for Ue maybe thats why i wrote this harsh word hahahahha have to take a big step already. I hope you guys can understand me,,,,,, Eng is not my mother language so i cant express myself enough?

Aha i'm not gonna be angry over this. I genuinely like hearing other opinions that differ from my own. I completely understand where you're coming from :)

i think mafuyu is slowly letting go of the burden of yuki's death. he doesn't have to forget him, nor should he ever have to. i just want to show uenoyama, even just a little bit, that he's ready to move forward with him.
