I want to believe that he was being a filial son and didnt want to mess up his relationship w/ his father or cause anymore problems w/ HS and his mom. So he lied to HS and told him to keep it purely physical. But it doesn't make sense for him to buy a ring now and be wanting HS to meet up w/ his dad like they haven't been messing around for 10 years. Also we know HS’ mom knows, but JW’s dad has no idea right?
