I'm doing this cause I want to share my love of this novels to others as well. I'm trying my best to maybe push at least one chap a week. Rn one chap a day since it just started, but I don't want to kill my editor ~ (╥﹏╥) The main novel is 210 chapters and 25 extras. Each chapter is fairly short compared to most other Historical CNovels so don't worry lol. So it might take a while. I'm Avocado, and if you are not aware, I am the sole translator for BOTH the manhua and the novel of this series, and tons more. But without much ado, I'll go straight into the main reason why I am making this announcement.
Spoilers through the google translation of this novel has been posted relentlessly since the moment this series started and people became aware of the novel. (FYI I have no problem with spoilers, as long as it is tagged) Also increasing when a MTL site has released all 200+ chapters of this novel. (MTL = Machine Translation)
This has significantly impacted my motivation to continue working on this novel.
Since then, I have noticed that many of you much more prefer the MTLed site that hosts the google translated version of this novel.
I understand that my translations for the novel are slow and there are even rumors that I have stopped translating this series as a whole. (Not true, never was)
As much as I would love to continue translating this novel officially, I have realized that I, a human who isn’t translating as a full time job, cannot compete with a machine.
Many people prefer a fast read rather than a more accurate translation, and I can confidently say that *MTLed content makes mistakes*, and often as well.
This is an issue that affect tons of other non-profit translators who does this, just like me. But there is nothing we can do to stop it.
We will never be able to catch up to the speed of a computer.
Ultimately, this does NOT mean that I will stop translating the novel, but it does mean that I will no longer take this novel as a top priority project amongst many others. (I have learned that the quality does not matter in face of the quantity, seeing that this series is over 200+ chapters long.) The translated version of of the Manhua will remain updating, as of this post, on Mangadex weekly. (And then reposted here even though our thingy says not to, I won't tell I promise, teehee!)

I saw the machine translation and couldn't read it. It just doesn't make sense most of the time, I can't stomach it. The words are the grammar are all over the place. I appreciate your work, both the manga and the novel. It's ok if u r slow. I will just wait. Plz don't be discouraged. I will be sad if you stopped translating.
Even thought I didn't read anything of this story beside what's posted here, I'm sure the google translated version will make me laugh at the discussion more than enjoy the story.

I much preferred your translations. Ive tried to translate a comic using mtl and it brought me more questions than answers. X'D waiting is no problem for me. I want to help but.. i tried to help before and it did not go that well--my skills werent fit. (Drawing vs photoshop skills for cleaning mangas.)
Plus..what can i help when im not fluent in chinese. QAQ. Ill be here for moral support.
