I like the prequel. It's good and gives more context to the story and is good story writing, and I felt the first season actually lacked info so readers ended up confused.
It's sad some people are just poor readers, they lack patience, don't care about plot quality and just want to see boys fucking. Hopefully as those readers go away (cross fingers they don't annoyingly stay and complain on every chapter), there'll be more quality discussions about the plot.
People who complain about the plot being long are probably usually used to the smut only or just like short stories. I personally am delighted with such a complete story like this one. This manwha has everything: interesting elements, an appealing theme, feelings, sex, drama, tragedy, a bit of comedy, historical setting, contemporary setting, beautiful art, four main characters, character development, and it’s going for a fourth season. I can’t ask for more especially when I grew attached to it. I wish it wouldn’t end.
FIRST OFF, Hyeonjin giving off lowkey yandere vibes with how he's being very clingy but it's not out of character for him to be obsessing over Jaewoo. After all, Jaewoo is his first actual source of comfort and someone he can rely on/someone who takes care of him, so not out of the blue that he's obsessive.
SECONDLY..... ARE YOU GUYS NUTS? How's Hyeonjin the same level of toxicity as Mujin? Mujin nearly killed Jaewoo by strangling him! Look he's fun to read and only because he's fictional that I'm happy to read his and Jaewoo's relationship but guys, don't delude yourselves. Mujin is trash and would kill Jaewoo someday if he ain't careful. But okay he's handsome trash who I still wanna see for many chapters lol.
I am so tired of every woman showing up and being some tyrannical villainess while there’s a growing squad of filthy rich and super popular hot studs who somehow all love the plain Jane protagonist. Oh Holy, the author’s other manga, was so good, but this one? It’s turning more and more into a self-insert “I’m so plain, but all the boys love me and all the girls hate me for it” trainwreck of a fanfic.
You know, I used to find Hara’s mother so detestable, but after a while I knew it couldn’t be that simple since this author loves to make grey characters. I thought about it and honestly while Hara’s mother isn’t right she doesn’t come from a bad place.
I speak this from experience — I know a girl who pursued singing and her parents were super supportive. She was really talented, honestly, but she’s now working as at admin clerk and part-time waiter and she’s struggling a lot to pay the bills. She does busking on the streets. See, she gave up college to pursue a lot of singing competitions but it just never worked out. And then she hit thirty and had to settle for jobs she could get.
The truth is that if we were parents we have to be practical for our children’s sake. We’d ideally support our children but our children don’t have foresight like we do since we’re older. The hard truth is that if my child may like drawing comics, it will be difficult for them to pursue, and I would support them but also have them keep their options open.
While i see your point, i dont think hara's mother is taking the right approach. She doesn't even consider how hara feels. She keeps blaming hara for her failures (she doesn't say that outright, but its what hara is getting from her) and refuse to acknowledge hara's wants and passion. She doesn't even think about hara's mental state and how her words are harming her.
And i think, life is long, and there tons of opportunities and people keep changing their paths in life. Its not too late, if hara cant make it on judo, she can always do something else. But now she wants that, shes good at that and there isnt really a reason for her mother to be against it.
Also, don't forget that her mother got her into that in the first place. Now all of a sudden when sara actually enjoys it and goot at it, her mother suddenly changed her mind and wanted her to stop. This is emotional manipulation. Everything she says to hara is.
I really like the development of their friendship. Haejoon was kind to Eunyoung at the start (stayed in the dorms with him when he had the chance to transfer, despite the shit Eunyoung pulled on him) — he did this only out of the goodness of his own heart, not at all because he cared about Eunyoung as Eunyoung. If it was any other person, Haejoon would have done the same.
Eunyoung saw that and began to grow attached to Haejoon. Eunyoung cared for Haejoon because it was Haejoon. But Haejoon continued caring for Eunyoung because Haejoon was by nature a good person. Their ways of loving and caring for one another was like this, unbalanced for most of the story **until recently**.
Eunyoung from the early days did things for Haejoon because it was Haejoon and he liked Haejoon. Sure, making food for him was to repay Haejoon for not leaving him alone in the old haunted dorms. But he beat up the bullies, tried to get along with Haejoon, stayed up to make sure Haejoon wouldn’t run out of the house when Haejoon was hallucinating his mother, and tagged along with him even though he had his own friends — in the Stealing arc, Haejoon even brings this up that he doesn’t really like Eunyoung hanging out with him and Juwan, and doesn’t get why Eunyoung hangs out with them.
In the arc where Haejoon goes to his Uncle’s house, Eunyoung mentions in the car that he’s not really interested in going to Juwan’s house on his own without Haejoon. In the arc where Juwan wants to be close to Haejoon but Haejoon seems to avoid him (and it’s revealed he’s awkward and feels bad to Juwan’s mother showing him love), Juwan told Haejoon that Eunyoung won’t hang out with them unless Haejoon is there, which turns out true (which is funny because Eunyoung is awkward with Haejoon after their Chuseok fight).
For most of it, Haejoon cared for Eunyoung because he was just a kind person at heart. But since the Chuseok arc I think Haejoon began to also grow attached to Eunyoung, and he now cares for Eunyoung specifically because it’s Eunyoung. These newest chapters especially show it. He minds his words, doesn’t use violence, and thinks about Eunyoung’s home situation.
A+ relationship. I don’t consider it purely as a friendship, not for romantic reasons (I’m open to this though), but that their relationship is very complex to cover under friendship. Especially on Eunyoung’s side, he’s notably attached to Haejoon more than to any of his friends.
TL;DR Their relationship has been mostly unbalanced till recently. Eunyoung cares for Haejoon because it’s Haejoon and he likes Haejoon. Haejoon cares for Eunyoung largely because Haejoon is a good person at heart, not because he likes Eunyoung (understandably).
But since their Chuseok fight I think Haejoon has grown to be attached to Eunyoung. Now he cares for Eunyoung just because Haejoon is nice, but because it’s Eunyoung.
Ngl, this makes me tear up a bit :"))...
Thats how you know hes a real one
