She seriously has no control of her son. Like this book is not consistent first she can’t control her son then next scene she suddenly can control him and then another scene she’s in a hurry to get them out of the capital and then another scene she’s not.
And don’t get me started on when her father was telling her business as soon as he started speaking I would’ve said that’s rich for someone that kicked me out I have no affiliation with you so stop speaking on me. And then they’re saying if he’s accused then the whole family gaw die but that literally makes no sense because if she was kicked out she should automatically be excluded from being killed considering oh i dunno a person that’s kicked out wouldn’t want to avenge their family that kicked them out. There’s so many plot lines that have so many plot holes

Cause then the attendant or whoever he is for some reason can’t see astele wants to get tf back to her life but every turn he’s hell bent on tryna figure her out. Maybe if you minded the work you were paid to do you wouldn’t have any problems. And then some how the emperor suddenly doesn’t have time to check his attendant on his overstepping of authority like ughh everybody in the book is ugh
They’re showing everything except sisly’s drama like no disrespect but her plot line is the only thing interesting rn. Like Yh laylas the main character but tbh her plot line is just annoying with how she’s acting and how the nobles are acting
