Lmao is the story trying to make us feel bad for the two girls? Hell nah, in my opinion their just plain annoying and got what they deserved. They were selfish and inconsiderate from the start. They would talk about how annoying other people are when ml's face was revealed when they were just the same, trying to justify themselves saying that keeping his face a secret was an act that deserves praise when its just common decency to respect one's privacy(that is ml wanting to hide his face) . Yeahhh, it sounds mad bc its his stepmother but I think its coz theyre closer to age and that he never accepted her as a stepmother and as he got older, he just developed feelings he didnt realize until she died tbh. He was pushing more on doing things for her to make her happy and make up for all the shit they did to her
And oh, if you go back to the previous chapters, the knight found them when he wanted to apologize to her but someone found them straight after so he came and then became a suspect for her death
