Framing people for something they didn’t do is whack. The guy seems to be controlling the dialogue just because he wanted to end the marriage contract and the girl seems to be quiet following along with him which she shouldn’t if this was real life. But this is a story, who knows what will happen, it’s not my story to decide.
Sounded to me like he was manipulated. Not that he took any measures to check if he was being lied to.
He said lead was the one thing that was wrong in his otherwise perfect life and the dude said all this stuff in front of a crowd. I don’t think the dude is being manipulated. I’m chapter 1 it seems to me he’s setting the pace just to have an excuse to cancel his engagement through his flamboyant expression and then involving the person that likes him. Personally I don’t like how in general mangas tend to set up cliche fights between rivals and then demonize the characters just because they are opposing peoples otp.
So like if say someone makes assumptions about me, but it’s actually far from the truth and I’m not even trying nor actually doing anything that’s considered bad or way too far towards other people because doing something I disagree with isn’t something I’d do in general, I would get frustrated at being misunderstood based on either how other people want to perceive me or want to make an enemy which is something I avoid making because I want to solve things peacefully, though in general I’m really upfront about what I disagree with and I’ll stand up for what I think is right and other peeps I feel are innocent, nice, misunderstood, regretful or changed and I try and want to help other people in need. I have trouble expressing myself sometimes, but always try to understand other people. I used to be socially inept and in some ways I still am in terms of communication, but got better at reading people and an atmosphere over time.
To the point they’re like “I hate this character so much... I hope they die and so so happens to them... then name calling”. That’s because that’s what either the author wants people to feel towards certain characters or... What I find annoying is when other characters are unrealistically and unfairly demonized because they’re in the way of an otp lol or protected by being the main character with plot armour making them a garystu and a marysue type of character that has everyone falling at their feet.. I find harem anime annoying too lol
The protagonists definitely look like a grown up Masaomi Kida and Izaya Orihara lol
