its in the present, right in the same scene here its going to happen, its worse now cause he's in a loving happy relationship and doesnt blame himself for jihyuk's brother's death anymore and abusive dbag cant handle it so he decides to mess up hyesung's love life by trying to gaslight him and "seduce" him and when hyesung is like HELL NO...it gets more violent. (tho he was alrdy forcing himself on him). so yeah its...a very ugly scene. its like full on rape not like noncon kink sex that BL will engage in where there isnt verbal consent but its not "really" rape but in this case its criminal and scary and he has to go to the hospital afterwards. so yeah imo its better to skip it if u can :( i was not a fan of this development and tbh if she was gonna include it idk why the author felt the need to draw the whole scene out but at least it all takes place in the same chpt (and seungchan beats the rapist nearly to death so...there's that?)

Thank you so much for that warning, just reading that made me upset (not at the comment but the fact he had to go through that shit again) also if I may ask is that scene even needed for the development of the storyline? Or did the author just include it for drama?

honestly I feel it was a bit unnecessary and that it was just added for drama which makes me angry but at the same time I could have a purpose

this story has so much potential and things that could be added to make the story more interesting I don't really like the new development because it just makes hyesung start from point one and he will become really insecure and be traumatized all over again which makes me feel terrible

imo there is never a reason for to include a rape scene in a story...ever. like if the story isnt specifically about sexual assault, and even then we dont need ot SEE the scene. (im not talking about smut that has dubcon or noncon as a part of kink, thats porn that gives a reader a safe place to experience that kink thru fiction.) this was def meant to be scary and violent to give hyesung extra trauma and put more angst into the main couple's relationship because they were otherwise doing so well. and to me its lazy and also cruel to assault survivors. these kinds of scenes can be very triggery. so yeah, i wish it didnt exist tbh. im not dropping the story yet but i was tempted!

if this comic handled trauma realistically, he'd STILL be dealing with it cause it doesnt just go away. albeit he was enduring the abuse with jihyuk before because he believed he deserved it and now he knows he doesnt and has forgiven himself so ofc its time for him to get raped again SMH! not a fan of this plot device. do better author.

fr i understand that everyone deals with trauma differently but with everything hyesung went through I find it unrealistic how what happened to him wasn't brought again until now like if you are going to include r*pe and trauma show the character dealing with in not just some little part in the plot to move the story along

yeah i double checked the raws to see what to expect next week, actually chpt 40 has important backstory wrt what happened to hyesung in the past that got him tangled up with that creep jihyuk in the first place. but its the beginning of the assaulat scene near the end and then chpt 41 is just 95% brutal violent rape until hyesung passes out and 5% seungchan beating the shit out of jihyuk until hyesung tells him to cut it out...and then the poor thing faints again and chp42 is basically a hospital visit. and ends with them going on a trip together and im sititng here like "GO TO A COUNSELOR". like thank fuck he went to a hospital but like after that u go to a trauma counselor at least for a few weeks. im so frustrated! if ur gonna include this kind of scene then handle it appropriately! smh. i guess i should be glad its not happening every other chpt like it was in Stigma? -_-

Yeah I know right! The rape thing in this story is so irritating. Rape is not a joke. It's serious. And I would say to anyone who thinks otherwise that they are disgusting and deserve to die if they think rape is funny, wtf is wrong with them!
