Does he reciprocate? Right now it doesn't seem like it. He sees them as friends, as always.
He seems the classical hero of shounen ace and aro, obsessed with his friends. It isn't Cale that is completely ace and aro, he will probably end with someone, sadly, but for now it isn't the main focus.
