Part of me actually pities her, like she actually thought he was waving at her and she's getting her hopes up only for them to inevitably be crushed once again, kinda sad honestly. Hopefully when she finds out she won't lash out and be "that character" that's just there to bring in conflict. I'm willing to give her a chance and see how things play out, really praying they won't bring her down the route of jealous obsessive ex; especially because her design is actually kinda cute tbh. Unless she's appeared before or done something already that's irremediable that I'm forgetting, it's been a while.
With those rape warning signs at the beginning I kinda thought it would be worse, like did anyone else feel as though this was pretty tame for yaoi standards? Maybe having read yaoi for so long has made me desensitised from it all. Unless it gets a lot worse later on, then fair enough. Also, for the most part the semes don't feel like horrible people so that's a plus - gonna wait and see how this story turns up, cos I'm honestly kinda into atm

Ikr ~ I was expecting some psychological rape drama with that kind of warning but with that art style and easy goinf characters the manga looks kinda cute and fluffy to me.
I guess my brain is rotten.
Nah it just that so many new comers complain about rape so much that anything that isn’t a solid “Yes” from the uke is rape. It’s pretty terrible how sensitive everyone has become. But it’s definitely not you just the manga author probably trying to cover their ass so the “This is rape” group don’t come after them.

You just know a bunch of people are getting their pitchforks ready and start attacking this girl. Look, I'm not going to say I endorse or agree with her reasoning for breaking up with the older brother, but can we not treat her like she's a complete and utter monster, and for a minute take a look from her perspective. She did make an attempt to talk with the younger brother and let him be involved when they were hanging out and stuff and she did try to talk to him and use sign language (even though she's not skilled enough to do it at the same pace as younger bro). But at some point it became difficult for her, it was becoming increasingly difficult for her - she wasn't as skilled in sign language as either one of them, so constantly wouldn't be able to get everything in their conversations and the older bro is constantly giving attention to lil bro so she's not getting as much attention as she probably wants.
Also, her concern about him learning to write and carry around the board may have been slightly rude, but it wasn't cruel and was based on a genuine concern - because in reality, not everyone is kind or bothered to learn sign language as she said (yes the lil bro is right that the impaired shouldn't be cursed with having to understand others while no-one makes an effort to understand them, and his points are valid; BUT reality is cruel, and even though it's something that should happen the likelihood of this happening is pretty low.
So yeah, could she have handled or phrased her opinion better? Yes, most definitely. However, is she a monster? No. She's a character with in my opinion somewhat reasonable concerns and worries, that sadly wasn't as prepared as she initially thought to date someone with a sibling who has a hearing disability.
Yeah, but when she said to Ryou that her father said, that dating a man with a sibling disabled isn't godd, she was implying that also her children in the future could be born disabled and this is very sad, because if she was really in love with Ryou she could have made an effort to learn sign language instead of give the board, why ask another person to change if she didn't want to change first? I have nothing against her she is human and certainly she is afraid and unprepared to afford the situation but She is selfish and superficial and thinks only of what is best for her not for Ryou or her brother so I don't like her very much.
It's strange how everyone jumped into the idea that the transfer student is actually the girl and got a sex change (despite the obvious height and build differences - however, that said, it might be the case because this webtoon is fairly out there).
But there are so many other potential things she could be:
*she could have been the person who bullied the transfer student to begin with and has been secretly letting the MC lower down his guard;
*she could have been the person who indirectly lead the bullying - like he told her he was gay or something and either someone overhead or she told someone which started the bullying,
*she could have been one of the transfer students friends from his old school who abandoned him when the bullying started so as to avoid being targeted herself,
*she could have been the sister of the transfer student
*she could be a mastermind or someone who is working together with the crazy dude - maybe with a common goal or motive
*she could have been the one who killed the transfer student
*Maybe she's there as blackmail material for someone who hurt either MC or crazy dude
*From the bully and the picture it seems like she similarly may have impacted on one of their lives - maybe she's the one who made the MC forget everything, maybe they dated before and MC forgot their relationship similar to how he (potentially) forgot he was friends with the bully
IDK there's just so many possibilities of why she was shoved in there, and the language of 'he died' rather than 'went missing' feels like there's less chance of the sex change (although it still holds some grounds and could very well still be accurate)
