I'm going to be real here. I've observed Nakamura's work and her writing style for a long time now and I can confidently say that she lacks writing skills when it comes to character growth. When the story calls for growth and meaningful conversation between two adult characters, she relies on the same tactics to push the story forward. A third character or a love triangle is fabricated seemingly arbitrarily just for the sake of pushing two characters forward.

Take Onodera and Takano for example. I can only speak for myself when I say this, but there is nothing I'd love more than a single chapter where Ono and Taka have a heart-to-heart long conversation. Anything at this point. I'm sure most of us would deeply appreciate a few pages of true growth. I was understanding Nakamura for a very long time, but right now, I can confidently say that the author just isn't a very skilled writer. Simple as that.

I like how Kenji and Yoshito are developing, to be honest. It's not like Kenji's going to make a complete 180 from tsundere to lovey-dovey uke overnight. He's slowly coming around and we're getting to see how Yoshito is growing on him. By the time Yuuji went to his bedroom to complain, he was already praying for Yoshito at the temple. He was already running to check up on him. At the beginning of the comic, Kenji wouldn't have put in any effort for anyone. Much LESS for Yoshito. I dunno. I like Kenji. I love the little bastard lol It's a fictional story. The author's always been great at slapstick humor. It's her style and I fully understand it. She's not afraid to make characters super mean. I dunno. I think older readers will understand. Nowadays, everyone is so sensitive to everything. Lighten up.

This comic (or any comic for that matter) shouldn't be used as a blueprint for real-life relationships. It's a fictional story with exaggerated themes for entertainment purposes. Period.

I love Kenji. I love Kenji with Yoshito. I understand why he is the way that he is and I find them funny and endearing in a beautiful, subtle way. Like an old couple haha. I like the main couple too. So I'm not stressing here.
