I can't read Japanese so I don't know if they made an announcement saying the story concludes next Chapter. So I will remain hopeful until told otherwise. For all I know, the ending might be a trick, the same as The Seven Deadly Sins.
We THINK this is how it's going to end but also Itsuki talked about how each of them had their own feelings they wished to convey. Yotsuba might the 1st runner up for obvious reasons. And if we see a time-skip towards the ending, he might have ended up with one of the others but left us viewers believing he would end up with the childhood friend.
The only series I can think of breaking the mould is Ichigo 100%, know what I mean?
The Fairy Tail act like they are above everyone else and always use temper tantrums to get their way. Soon enough, I hope that a new villain will appear to make them think just what exactly is wrong with the one logic of Fairy Tail's Guild itself...

Yeah, Fairy Tail is really getting out of hand. The Guild's view is become askew and limited. Soon enough, someone's got to come along and remind them of something. You could even call it a curse...of Fairy Tail's Guild.
