The premise is pretty interesting, but that's about it.

The MC is mad annoying first of all, I could not root for him at all. His emotions, motivations, and actions don't make sense in a cohesive way and there is 0 character development at all, throighout the entire story. Woohyuk was alright, but his character felt so flat and unbelievable to me, like he exists only as an accessory to MC and not as his own character. The love triangle was annoying, and just kept going back and forth without meaningful progression. The humor was inserted in weird places, and in general the series just felt very confused tone-wise. It can't decide if it's comedy or drama, but it fails to even float properly between the two. Instead, some parts feel dramatic for just to be dramatic, whole other parts feel inappropriately comedic. Not one good thing in this story besides Hyunho the cat, who should be taken away from MC because apparently he cares so much for this cat, yet is unwilling to even bring it up in the competition to save its life. Why? Because his obnoxious confidence and wishy washy motivations apparently.

I am SO happy I am not the only one that finds the behavior(s) weird and random af. It's like the author wrote their personalities as they drew the comic almost. X'D

The entire story seems very random tbh. Tho I have to say I disagree on Woohyuk, he seemed just as random and I found him VERY unappealing.
Tsundere characters are only bearable if they get all blushy and shy (not too much tho) but he honestly just got upset about pretending to be a couple, as if he had any right to.
If the author had at least put in more effort into showing the reader he had caught feelings for the MC, I wouldn't have been so annoyed, but as it was done it felt really random and off in a few ways.
But I guess his entire persona is based on tastes.

In my review I mentioned this feeling like it could work as a self-insert only, and I honestly think that's about the only way this story can work for someone; if they can relate to the MC to a T and if they like a cranky brat as a love interest.

I honestly would have preferred this story being about MC get character developement and romancing the producer, he seemed more detailed in how he was written than Woohyuk tbh. Which is also weird if I think about it....

You're actually so right about Woohyuk, and it really does seem like the only people who think this series is great are the people who are able to really relate to the MC. So glad someone else agrees with me, because I started this series because I saw the 9.0+ rating and got so confused at what I saw

I think the ratings are DEFINITELY not worth going by. I have seen the most cliche, predictable shoujo plots get high ratings despite being Mary Sue stories or the most vile BL comics with shitty writing and characters. I honestly stopped bothering with looking after ratings.
Similar to how lots of positive comments don't mean a comic is good. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Personally I just can't get support a couple that is clearly so toxic and unbalanced. I get that it's yandere/comedy and it's not aiming to be realistic, but the BL logic is INTENSE in this one. Usually I can overlook the BL logic, but almost everything the main characters do makes no sense. Like how do you genuinely fall in love with someone after they've hurt your friend and use them to threaten you into sleeping with them/being in a relationship with them? Why exactly does Vasya like Yoon? Don't get me wrong, I actually like reading toxic stuff and even have problematic ships (POTN for example), but the comedic tone and the narrative casually overlooking the clearly toxic aspects of their relationship just feels jarring and pulls me out of the story. Yoon does acknowledge that he shouldn't have feelings for Vasya, but he doesn't really try to get out of it because he's just THAT hot and bothered apparently that he can get into sex even when it's very dubious consent and he just had a knife pulled on him. And it's not like Vasya ever really changes either so eventually Yoon just... goes with it? There isn't much "show not tell"- usually the author just states the character's feelings and motivations and it doesn't feel believable because it's not backed up by stuff that actually happened in the story. I dislike all the characters except Chris and Kay who are kinda just... there? The art is very good though. This is just my own personal opinion, I usually dislike yandere comedy but since I had nothing else to read and the art is good, I ended up reading it and I thought I would leave a review.

I have literally no sympathy for Raymond and I did feel bad for Ian but the way he still forgave Raymond for being a backstabbing self centered POS made my blood boil

Yeah it's toxic but the toxicity makes it interesting lmaooo

I feel like something must have happened during the hiatus that caused an issue with the production of this webtoon because not only did the story start not making sense but the art also dropped drastically in quality. My own theory (complete guess): the author and artist decided to abandon the project, but it still needed to be finished or had a chapter minimum for whatever reason (contract maybe) so the rest of s2 will be in the same rushed, low quality manner to fulfill the bare minimum. OR they were working with unmanageable deadlines

It's so realistic, well-paced and well-drawn, with moments that actually make me think about my own life. Love the trials and growth these characters go through. I'd rate this 7 stars out of 5 if I could

Then I remembered I have a box of 75 in my drawer and it's almost empty again...

Now that I'm getting some 'maybe the friend likes Ah-in' vibes I'm now doubly concerned that he's going to die TT

I actually kinda liked this but I totally just skimmed for the NSFW scenes and barely looked at the plot (if there was any lol). That being said. Definitely not for everyone. Actually, only read it if you can stomach borderline gore because there is some Fucked Up Shit in this. This should have had a fuck ton of trigger warnings and in no way is this BDSM like it's advertised to be lol. It's just straight up rape and a whole lot of extremely toxic, dangerous, and ILLEGAL stuff if it were in the real world. But if you're someone who browses the dark tags on hentai sites like me and that dark stuff gets you off, then you might like this one too. 8/10 rating for ppl who get off to Dead Dove: Do Not Eat stuff in fiction. 0/10 for characterization, plot, and -192882828 for its portrayal of BDSM. From someone who reads fucked up fictional works regularly and likes it, DO NOT condone or re enact this shit IRL, it's highkey fucked up in almost every conceivable way from assault to rape to manipulation, gaslighting, etc. If something like this happens to you or to someone else IRL, REPORT THAT SHIT, SERIOUSLY

And I don't think stories always have to be morally correct and have a good message, but it would have been good to have a disclaimer in case some people end up seeing this and thinking it's okay. The same way many fanartists/fanfiction writers will tag their work with Dead Dove: Do Not Eat to signify that the work will contain morally wrong events/actions that won't necessarily be condemned within the body of work. (Like the people saying that Minho deserved it.... yikes lol no one deserves phtsical assault, rape, etc. no matter how much of an asshole they are).
