Don't get me wrong I love love LOVE this story, I get so excited every time I see an update, but lately a part of me has been analyzing this just a taaaaad too much and I need to share my musings.
I can't help feeling as though sensei is barely passing the mark of okay boyfriend. He does a few nice things to this girl - who for her whole life has been lonely and neglected - pays her a bit of basic kindness (that wasn't even that kind) and she falls in love with him?? I just feel like she has so many great qualities and shes settled for the first alright man in her life. I can't help thinking she deserves more, that she deserves better. I'm not talking about grand declarations of love, but just some interest from him, or even him helping her a bit more, or acting like an adult would be nice.
I love this, but it does make me feel like she settles for small occasional niceties far too often.
Anyway, that's just me over analyzing a fun story ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

But you have to consider his personality too. He can't easily read emotions, that's what he said, so it's not easy for him. Also he doesn't really know how to act with a girlfriend, that's why he didn't even know that he should go on Dates with her. He is slowly learning. It's not like he doesn't care for her. He just doesn't know better.

I agree. It is his first time in love also. We need to know more background on him as a child and why he is like this.
I decided to wait till this series is over before I continue reading this series even though I LOVE it. I still keep thinking the manaka might pull a fast one on us like "Hirunaka No Ryuusei". That ending sucked. So I decided to wait so I won't get excited and invested this time around if Fumi ends up with someone else.

I actually love this, and so far Nana's reactions have been so refreshing and unlike that of most shoujo manga's out. I also really like the ex (Shu?? Is it bad that I've forgotten her name already??) and I don't think she's there to cause trouble and actually seems like a genuine girl and I'm excited to see how this progresses!!!
Who else also like's Shu?? (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

I love love LOVE this manga and adore the author, and I really like that this keeps me entertained while also being so pure and fluffy... but after a while I can't help but wonder if there's a plot...? Does the pacing speed up with their romance? Is there going to be a main plot device? Is this a story with a beginning-middle-end/ start-conflict-result, or is it just slow paced day-to-day kind of story?
I love it either way, but I feel as though I'm holding out and expecting something to happen.

I absolutely adore Skip Beat, but lately I've been finding it a bit repetitive? All we're getting are new characters and intense focus on her acting abilities, instead of diving into characters that are already in the plot, which I'd like to learn more about.
I wouldn't mind the intense acting sequences if we'd see more of her and Ren together in between (because I know I personally read this for the romance), and if they changed it up a bit; it's the same each time - she fails, there's a rival, she becomes amazing, her rival ends up in the Love Me section...
I just want to see more of the character's we already know and love, and less introducing new, forgettable characters.

I used to think like you. I thought the story was taking so long and some chapters were dragging the story, but I read it again and saw that those chapters should be there because in those chapters she is growing little by little in the love departament, like the mom. That those chapters are needed, makes you feel that the story is not too rush and not to slow. So I noticed that the reason why it feels like it’s taking too long is because we get one chapter a month so it feels like it’s taking forever

Plus the characters you think may be surplus to requirements were most likely foreshadowed awhile back and you'll see why in the near future.

Moon Trick keeps introducing new characters, without really making me love them. What's the plot of Moon Trick? Where is this heading? Every chapter seems to be introducing new characters, and at a rate where I'm not remembering them or really getting to know them.
Add to that that the chapters only come out slowly, so by the time I've waited three more months for the next chapter I've forgotten all but the main characters, and any (minimal) plot that's happened.
I know this author like's to have large groups of people before the "quests" begin, but Moo Trick seems to have more characters than any of their other mangas and that plot hasn't begun.
This seems like it'll be a manga that's great to read once it's complete - that way you'll remember all the characters, because I think the main problem with this is how slow it's updating (no offence to the translators, you're doing a great job thank you), bacause I say that no plot has kicked in, but we've only recently gotten past chapter 20 (and this author usually has their stories going into the hundreds), so - personally - I'm going to wait to read this, at least until a few more chapters have been released, then I can read it all at once and actually ENJOY it without wondering "who's that?".

So this website says that this is shounen ai, yet on different manga websites it doesn't have the shounen ai tag??? I really hope this is shounen ai, and considering the contents of the other stories from this author, I think there is a good chance that this is definitely a boys love story... fingers crossed!! ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
I love this story and I adore this author, but I felt this just glossed completely over the romance (maybe it's meant to be more about familial love or what not but---), like one minute she's just like "I love him as a man" and that's suddenly that! A little bit more wooing would've been nice (maybe we'll get to see that in the sequel *fingers crossed*(๑•ㅂ•)و✧)
I'm glad it ended without romance that would've been to creepy-gross stepfather or not he was her dad.
