I liked how “but I’m a man!” didn’t become a main issue. Both were comfortable with what their relationship, no dragging drama. And the seme isn’t some nonchalant character that’s cold and calm. That was what surprised me most. I’ve read a lot of old bls and hated the tropes where the ml acts like they don’t care at their lover, so this was nice. Just two adults acting like one. Would’ve loved to see more tho. Since it looked like they hinted marriage and being together for years, i would have loved to see their domestic life together.

Plu-sized character that STAYS plus-sized until the end. I hated those troupes where the author decides to make the character suddenly skinny to imply that they had a “glow-up” when they were already attractive in the beginning.

I can understand where Momo is coming from. She’s only had her brother all her life, and the mother is probably almost always absent. It’s just the two of them.
So her being overly jealous and protective of Umehiko, as immature and annoying as it seems, just makes more sense, because now her only family is being ‘taken away’ by Theo.
Hopefully Umehiko makes his boundaries clear and talk to her about it. She’s already 15, she can handle a conversation.

Also, I dropped this months ago bc of how it started, but there’s actually interesting plot going on after reading it again ironically.

I have no problem with age gaps. I eat that shit up. The problem comes when a guy in his mid 20’s fall in love with a 16 year old kid. That’s normalizing some ped******. Story wise is still alright tho. read this bc of the main story

I’ve read a lot of wholesome bl but most of them are in highschool setting. Looking for mangas/hwa where both of them are like working adults

They are so fucking cute I cannot. I love the way they support each other and them being the reason why they continue what they do.Also I am loving the artstyle! The way it’s shaded is similar to older manga styles and it really gives the characters more charm

Tbh I’d probably hold off a wedding if you’ve only been together for a year, but then again, I’m glad that the volume still continues! “Marriage isn’t the finish line” indeed! Usually, most manga ends when the characters get together and tie the knot. Here we get to see more of their married life! Looking forward to the domestic vibes and not just work

All the main characters were great! I read this bc of the bl tag but I didn’t mind it being so subtle since the plot is actually really good at dealing with the supernatural genre.

Love Mikado and him being all scared, because who wouldn’t after seeing all those shit. He lived a life thinking he wouldn’t be able to tell anyone about his abilities and being anxious since childhood, and now having people by his side who’s ‘like him’ and being more confident with himself as time goes is so nice to see. Like being queer in a place where you’re outcasted, you feel the comfort of having people who understands your struggles. So I feel for him more on this one.

Hated Hiyakawa at first because he wasn’t respecting Mikado’s boundaries and is manipulating of him in the early chapters. But as we follow through his character, we realize that he really doesn’t know what boundary even means. He’s never thought how to feel or express himself, being treated like a god of some cult as a kid. Doesn’t excuse what he did but we understand why he is who he is. He’s learning to open up more at the last chapters with Mikado.

I also like the focus on Erika struggling to comprehend when ppl like Saeko and her classmate asked “Are you okay?” showing that she’s never experienced being really cared for. Made me glad that she’s now surrounded by people who can support her. And thank god his relationship with Sakaki is like an older brother. I’ve read enough mangas who makes these types of characteristics romantic so I’m relieved it didn’t go that route.

Keito didn’t have too much story but everytime he’s there, is so pleasant because he’s more of a counselor. Not being an actual fortune teller but still able to guide his clients. That’s what he does most. He helped Mikado know that what Hiyakawa’s doing was forceful. Him telling Erika that it wasn’t normal for her not to have a proper adult to protect her. And talking to the kid Hiyakawa for what seemed like an eternity and being patient. Makes you wonder what he went through as a child.

It tackled a lot on what it means to be fear to hate and what it takes to be a good/bad person. What it means to believe. Since it’s not all black n white

I didn’t know it had more chapters I only read it until 13 before. The art style got much better and the proportions of the characters improved. I didn’t take all the murder thing seriously since I feel like the manga made it in a way that seems over the top. Ref’s design is literally just Jeff incarnate.

But I liked how as the chapters went, we get to see the plot get to the characters. I like how they didn’t go with the typical character “redemption” and all is forgotten at the end. Deeta will never have a “normal” life. And no matter how much he tries to improve his life, his past will always haunt him for the rest of him life. It doesn’t mean he can’t be happy tho. He has Taichi after all. The ending is bittersweet and we love it that way.

Also Im actually really interested with Ref after knowing that he’s rich. Bro revealed that his parents are some high authority and never expanded on that?? Like, it made so much more sense how they got away with all the crimes bc of his family connections.
If this ever had a side story, I’d love to see the world building on his side. Exploring more on how they disguise kidnapping with some made up tv show lol (ch.16 p14) or them covering up murder bc a cop is involved w the family. This can be hilarious or just plain dark, either way it’s an interesting thought bc we see how much power in control this family of cannibals have
