ch. 101 has been circulating around tiktok and the way people are going from “#1 skylar defender” to “i can’t defend him anymore” is crazy. was it okay for skylar to say what he said to cirrus? no. but cirrus isn’t innocent in this situation either. he was the one that deleted messages from chan-il on skylar’s phone (and block him, i think). and rather than talking to skylar upon seeing him with chan-il, he chucks a cup/can of a drink in anger. me personally, i would be fucking beyond angry with my partner if they did that out of their insecurity. granted i would also dump them on the spot for that.
i understand that cirrus is feeling insecure but to then ask to be for reassurance after doing what he did? yeah no. again it wasn’t okay for skylar to say that he was only dating him bc chan-il wouldn’t and to beat the shit out of him. skylar should’ve reigned his temper and talked to him to resolve this issue. but he isn’t good at and he was hurting so he wanted cirrus to feel hurt too.
they’re both to blame for being in this mess. they’re two teen boys with a lack of emotional maturity and fucked up personalities stemming from trauma. they both need therapy and time apart from each other to mature emotionally.
Cirrus is not a normal person. And you will say neither is Skylar. But who suggested they'd date? Cirrus confessed and was ready to keep things platonic but Skylar? why did he suggest they'd date if he can beat the shit out of someone he is in a relationship with, for verbally trying to get on his nerves and tick him? Skylar had no right. From what I saw cirrus didn't even defend himself probably thinking he deserved it. Sorry to say Skylar is TO be blamed. Their relationship didn't feel legit from the get go. It seemed like pity dating on Skyla'r part.
Op did say in the end that they both are to blame, we know that they are both are NOT mentally very stable. Cirrus and Skylar both have their set of unresolved issues from their individual traumatic past. And they both are triggering each other with the result of the issues. It was bound to happen, I am in no way justifying either of their actions. It was going to get ugly sooner or later. Skylar has anger management issues, trust issues and cirrus is insecure, has trust issues, fear of abandonment. It's easy to be deluded that you're fine when there's no one around to trigger your mental state. They are in a relationship now which will lead to these situations unfortunately bcz they both are very broken. The wounds they have will reopen and resurface and in the process they will hurt each other. They are kids with absolutely no one to guide them......I hope they learn how to communicate properly and try to realise and resolve their issues. I also don't think Skylar is pity dating cirrus, they genuinely care for each other.
i’m going to reiterate my point. skylar and cirrus are BOTH to blame. skylar for getting physically violent and falling for the taunts. cirrus for also getting physical bc when is it ever okay to throw a drink at your partner bc you’re jealous? and for going into skylar’s phone and deleting messages from chan-il.
as for skylar being the one to initiate the romantic aspect of their relationship? i can’t say why he did it IF his intentions were only out pity. but human beings are creatures that tend to hurt others with their words when they are also hurting. this still doesn’t make it okay for skylar to be a jackass and say he was only dating cirrus bc he couldn’t date chan-il.
like i said previously, they are both emotionally unstable, immature teenage boys. skylar has history of his violent temper and trauma regarding some other dude that for the life of me i cannot remember what he did right now. and cirrus is extremely codependent bc the adults in his life have either left him or abused him. they can’t have a healthy relationship bc they themselves aren’t okay.
I agree with most of what you said and highlighted the one thing i thought was giving a leeway out to skylar. Frankly I don't think they should be together at atleast not at this point of life.
i recently read a manga where this guy has a hard time talking to girls due to him being SA’d by his teacher. I do remember that he gets a panic attack after a girl falls on top of him and his friends are there to help him through it. would someone happen to know the name? i know it’s defined not yeonwoo’s innocence.
