Everybody's talking about the grape, but nobody wants to talk about how crazy good and scary as hell the zombies look? And the panel composition where the MC sees someone in another building getting grabbed by all the zombie hands? Bone chilling. I think the atmosphere is very vile, but well done.
I think it confuses a lot of BL readers when they run into authors like Aeju who more often than not write stories that aren't intended to be romantic or erotic, and they always focus on the SA rather than the story around it. This scene sets the stage and isn't supposed to be sexy, it's supposed to be brutal and terrifying and let readers understand what kind of person the ML is.
I feel like this is going to end up being a truly scary and horrifying zombie apocalypse story with a truly insane and casually cruel ML who has zero self awareness, which makes him even scarier. I'm already invested in finding out if the MC manages to get through it all, or if he breaks completely like the MC in An Easy Target. I really hope it doesn't get as psychologically twisted as that story, though, cause that was probably the hardest thing I've ever read.
