10/10: This is truly a dark manga with astounding art and story. It has become a staple mark for readers for a reason. With complex characters and lore, it will quickly suck you into its world of questions around suffering and evil. My only warning is that it's pretty violent and long. Sadly, the writer recently passed away, so keep that in mind if you feel somewhat frustrated by cliffhangers.

9.8/10: Maiden Rose was one of the first yoai mangas I ever read and, therefore, mind the pun, makes me see it through rose-coloured glasses. The art is as beautiful as the love between the MC and ML is toxic. I LOVE the MC in this and hate how he was treated. Yet, I can't help but keep rooting for the main couple. If you have ever watched "Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence," it is reminiscent of that movie. If you want a tragic/disastrous couple, read this manga! It is a classic for a reason.
