The Glass Mask's longest hiatus was over 20 years and I thought this was pretty bad especially because I'm a fan, but I found out that Nanatsu no Ougonkyou from Yamamoto Sumika has been on hiatus for over 40 years because the mankaga became the leader of a cult. Weirdly enough the hiatus of the mangaka for the Glass Mask is thought to be because she made a cult too.

I went out and bought the magazine it was in (still have it) only to see them whip out a cellphone. I tried a few more chapters but it just felt like meeting an old friend and realizing there's something off about them now. Came here tonight feeling nostalgic and wanting to try again but your post. Actually in my Countr (not japan) y they have translation official up to 48 or 49 volume if i am not wrong. This page only have 39 volume because they are only fan translation, not official.
