I enioy BL for what it is, it's that simple. There's definitely a lot of harmful tropes in it, so as a kid it definitely gave me the wrong impression, but people grow and I at least hope that most people realise that BL isn't realistic. Basically, as long as people are aware that BL isn't "real" as such, and as long as they don't bring real people ......

As a gay person myself, when I was first discovered BL, I was very happy. I thought I could relate the characters, and that it was great representation. But, as I grew older, I realized that most(not all) depicted unhealthy relationships, and essentially stereotyped gay people(to some extent). Like the whole "uke" and "seme" thing.
