Same thing here in Algeria, no sex before marriage but that's mostly because of religion and the Algerian society is a conservative society so this kind of topic is a taboo, you know when a girl does it before marriage her family tries to keep that a secret because now she is viewed as a disgrace and a shame, some girls are beaten uo, some are chased out of the house and others are even killed "pride crime" they call it, so all in all, women are the ones to suffer the consequences, if a guy does it, he is easily forgiven, because he's a guy and it wouldn't show in him or something but for a girl to lose her virginity, she's a hoe and does not deserve to live or something, although Islam as a religion punishes both men and women in the same way when having sex without marriage, society seems to side with men for some reason,but well, it's getting better now i guess.
