I honestly think this manga is wholesome af but as the usual arc for shoujo there’s going to be drama with the ML ex gf/fling and there’ll be drama with the FL’s guy friend who knows sign language cause he probably likes Yuki. It’s just how it goes. But I wouldn’t be lying when I say that this story is giving me heart squeezes in a good way. ML and FL are going to have some good character growth and the FL will get to experience things she never did before. She may be different but she shouldn’t just be kept in a box all her life and not experience the good AND the bad things in life.

Honestly I really love this manga. It’s really not that common for people who aren’t related to kids to take them into their home in japan(even though the MC’s bf is related). This manga is freaking wholesome and I love it. I can’t wait to read more of this story and just cry happy tears. I’m sure the MC has an angsty background story that’ll be super interesting

But he’s trash. It seemed like Hazuki was too kind hearted and forgave him a bit too fast. Like okay he came with you to see your sister and yeah he pursued you after you continuously turned him down after. But everything Watanabe did was hella messy. This manga was just eh for me but I did love the art. Also the way the mangaka or scantalators described Watanabes trauma was shitty cause I was confused.

I always have to remind myself that this manga is yakuza centric so it won’t have that feel good ideal couple moments. So I can’t hate it just because it might go against my moral compass but dang. I really wanna know how Asami died and why Akitora and Rogi had nothing to do with each other later on.

I think it has something to do with that Yayoi group boss and how Rogi got mixed up with him. But idk just speculating.

While I do feel bad for Asami, I really appreciate Rogi’s character. He does what he wants without holding back. He’s only looking out for himself and how to get his happiness. He’s basically without any morals as long as he gets what he wants. That type of carefree character is interesting, I’m sure we’ve all wished we could live our lives with no restraints and really not care at all about the consequences. But I also sympathize with Rogi because he doesn’t have anything that he values and he’s lonely because of the life he lives. But also he sucks because of what he did to Tatsuyuuki in the prequel/sequel, I do get that he’s desperate for Akitora’s attention...but the fact that it didn’t work means that whatever he did in this manga, he really lost Akitora’s trust ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

Edit: now that I really thought about it, I think Rogi somehow got Asami killed? That’s probably one of the most plausible reasons as to why Akitora stopped being involved with Rogi. Even if Akitora didn’t love Asami in the way he should’ve, he still cared for her enough and she was Tatsuyuuki’s mom.

Decent manhua. The art is nice and I like the storyline, even if it feels like a somewhat common plot to a few manga I’ve read before. It’s still it’s own. And the little add-ons about the author is funny.
