Definitely an…interesting relationship. My initial reaction was…why, but the more I think about it, it seems this couple is an extreme version of the main one.
The seme is so overprotective that it became obsession, honestly he keeps the uke like a fucking pet, kinda like what the Yoo-won wants to do with Yoo-il.
The uke has extreme abandonment issues, kinda like Yoo-il, and plays on the seme’s overprotectiveness to keep him close. Yoo-il doesn’t do this but maybe he might since at the moment he’s pretty oblivious to how possessive Yoo-won is of him, but what if something threatens their relationship that could make Yoo-won hate him (in his mind), he might try to keep him with him with some manipulation.
I might be looking way too deep into this basically parental, creepy as hell, fucked up relationship or overestimating a BL author’s writing skills, mostly cuz I like the main story, but who knows! Maybe the main couple will go through something similar and HOPEFULLY not do this, they might come close though.
I hope I justified some reading of this for main story readers, that story is also a bit fucked up but definitely not to THIS extent. :)
It's so nice to read a manhwa with interesting green flag characters. These two deserve each other, it's so cute!!!
If you didn’t think Keith repented enough/stayed the same throughout the story with absolutely no character development, I suggest reading the special episodes. He gets slapped with karma and the consequences of how he treated Yeonwoo in the past and feels a lot of regret. You’ll get to see him suffer lol.
While I don’t think he really formally apologised, I think he does admit he was wrong a lot in this story. Him realising how much he hurt Yeonwoo each chapter was fun, that bitch deserves to suffer especially since he doesn’t really get his comeuppance in the main story. Loved the part where he calls himself ‘garbage’ because that’s what you are!
At least he has a happy family and is a decent dad, doing something right at least.
So it’s either get married to a guy who will 100% use you for his own pleasure and use your son as a pawn or lose your son anyway and fucking die?!

Also them basically being Valletta’s parents, I loved that she actually got a support system (kinda) and how they protect her like she’s their kid. Aaaaah, I love it!
Also Delphine’s (very much justified) worrying about Valletta is really really cute. And Leon being completely calm as he listens to it, like he straight up laughs at him lol.
But they really do care for her and I’d think after the first 12 or so chapters showing her oppressive homelife and her fearing death at Reinhert’s hands and later escaping it, she deserves a lot of love and care from people who actually see her as a human being and can recognise how messed up her environment really was.
Like I got into this story because of the fucked up yandere ML and premise, but it’s interesting that the story recognizes that these two are deeply traumatised people who need to learn how to accept help from others and change, to let people in. And their relationship is actually developing, Valletta has caught feelings or is at least admitting that she has them, at it’s pretty cute actually.
I can’t wait to see how this will end! (☆▽☆)

I love characters acting like parents, it’s always so heartwarming and funny because they are usually super unprepared lol. Parenting is hard, but they’re doing a good job!
That scene where they both offer to help her at the same time, and Duke Leon saying that she was his kid too! That was the best scene for me (ch70)! They’re the best side characters!

Yes, the top is coercing him through blackmail and yes he (bottom) is definitely the victim here. But then the top stops and the bottom is like “Why did you stop r////ing me? Weh” after HE keeps telling him to stop.
The top keeps telling him to be honest and maybe these moments where he pulls that crap IS him being honest but like… it’s happened a couple times (correct me if I’m wrong, it at least FEELS like a couple of times) and I hope it will stop in later chapters.

literally not until like ep 56 and it feels like its about to end soon so its only a few episodes where yisoo fully accepts their relationship
i mean you're already almost there so if you can hold out for that long i say yes read it but if you decide not to you wont be missing out on an amazing story or even good one if im being honest
I actually like the MC in this story, he's a pretty cool character and I remember thinking he was pretty well written but the amount of shit he's put through... I just want to pick him up and put him in a better story... I know the writer could've done it, that friend of his could have made a good ML but NOOOO... we get this trashy ML who gets WORSE in the side stories... why??? probably cuz thats the point but why???
