You are assuming that every single girl he has been with is not a nice person.
All these girls fell in love with him and the one that has been within the longest had to hide the fact that she had feelings for him just so he would stay.
She started getting her hopes on their wedding day and she was really angry that he refused to eat with her and let me ask you this question with the other girls do you think the wouldn't want to comfort him knowing his backstory but do you think that he will let them.

I think am starting to understand the reason for tragedy tag. It looks like the author is push Medea towards and unfortunate death in the ending which everyone will be very sad about while Helio and psyches fall in love with each other. Which at first Helio is unable to accept nor understand how he feels and if it's towards psyches or just because she is in Medea body but will eventually accept that he is in love with psyches and the feels he has towards Medea is more of grateful admiration.

I just feel the author is been very biased towards Medea.
It's like Medea has a death flag hanging on her neck that if the don't change back bodies she will die in psyches body and if they do she will in her body trying to protect someone.
Honestly in my eyes when I see the characters this is what I see:
- Helio; the strongest knight in the kingdom who doesn't understand love
- psyches; the naive girl who's trying to understand things and falls in love very easily even if her heart with just broken a second ago
- Medea; the strong independent character with a huge death flag on her neck, head, back, etc.

It is my assumption but it looks like the author is really pushing Medea to death and it has the romance tag so who was the male lead and female lead.
I also hate the idea of Helio will falling for psyches( damsel in distress) and Medea drying but I can't hide the fact that it's pointing in that direction.
Just look at the cover of the manga, Medea's body, Helio holding a flower looking at Medea while psyches above with angel wings.
The are a few theory's there too but the one that seems most likely to be is that it's psyches that is in Medea's body and the drawing of psyches above is to show that it's her soul that is in Medea's body and you don't need me to explain why Helio is holding a flower and looking at her like that (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
