I tried, I really tried but I just couldn’t stomach the amount of abuse. Like do t get me wrong I’ve read a shit ton of yaoi with abuse and loved it. But this is just way too unsettling, disgusting and above all infuriatingly frustrating. I hate how the MCs attitude changes constantly, from cold, to sassy, aggressive, stoic, suddenly friendly and all caring( like they don’t treat him worse than livestock), then rinse and repeat. It’s so infuriating! Like pick a struggle. It’s either your a doormat and just take the abuse like an idiot and wallow in self pity. Or, you retaliate and have them understand how much you hate and despise them all and that you’re only doing this for your brothers sake. Show them that they won’t ever break your spirit. But no, he’s just confused and it pisses me off so much my heart hurts when I read this coz I feel like beating someone up, screaming, punching, you name it. Such a shame too, the concept is pretty good but the characters other than the MC are all just psychos. Worst is the male lead, I just don’t see the appeal at all.
