Well she lived trapped in a basement, that's not really surprising, plus she's learning how to stand up for herself little by little.
I actually think the story is very well made, everything is progressive and we don't just get a massive flashback to throw in a random tragic backstory.
Well, to be fair, she is physically weak. Her body can't handle being overworked bc it would make her sick and have a nosebleed. She is also not mentally strong bc she grew up being abused and manipulated by her father and her lover. In my opinion, she is no difference from a domestic violence survivor, but instead of sympathize with her, we actually shame her for not being able to stand up for herself (even with the fact that she was abused and manipulated the whole time).
I'm not siding with her here bc she is partially at fault for what happened, but seriously tho, other characters are not flawless either. What is so bad that they (Psyche and Helios) would not just sit down and tell her the whole story? Nobody in the webtoon ever told her anything, but at the same time, they expect her to know everything. When she slowly found out what has happened on her own, people are still not happy and said she is ignorant. So what should she do here? Should she continue not knowing anything or should she start realizing what's going on in order to hopefully fix the problems?
I don't think there's really any of the mcs who can be descirbed as "being at fault".
The prince was Psyche's only support and "friend" from childhood when she'd live trapped in a basement, so of course she'd trust him, who wouldn't?
And you can't really expect Medea, who thinks she just got betrayed by the girl she got close to, to explain to the same girl that she indirectly caused her mother figure's death. Same with Helio, he cares only about Medea, so of course he wouldn't go out of his way to explain the situation to Psyche.
In the end, the only responsible persons are the prince and the father (plus the king whodid litterally nothing).
Even the peeople can't really be held responsible for it's acts, since it got manipulated as well.
I agree with you that it made sense Medea didn't tell Psyche right away bc she felt betrayed. (Btw, I totally messed their names up. When I said Psyche in the previous post, I meant Medea and vice versa.) It is understandable why she and Helios acted like that in the beginning. However, I do have a problem tho after they switched bodies. Idk. Helios and Medea wanted Psyche to do a good job of acting like her, but they didn't explain to her on how to act like one. It's quite counterintuitive in my opinion bc when they left out important events like her nanny's death, somebody could totally catch on to the fact that Medea "forgot" how her beloved nanny died. Is nanny's death such a big secret that they can't tell her?
I don't think Medea and Helios are at fault, but their characters are not flawless. Psyche, on the other hand, wasn't truthful about the fact that the Prince was her lover at the beginning of the story. That's why I said she was partially at fault for not telling the truth. I understand that the Prince manipulated her, but again, I don't think she was 100% innocent, especially when Medea was her dear friend.
Actually I kinda take everything back. To be honest, I don't really have a problem with anything in the story or how the characters are laid out. It's just that there are too many hateful comments about Psyche that when I tried to somewhat defend her, I ended up finding negative traits of other characters. I fell hella bad for Psyche. If I was her, being in locked away half of my life and then found out that my lover manipulated and tried to kill me, and on top of that, knowing I indirectly caused someone's death, it would be too much for me to handle that I would have left everything behind and just run away.
I honestly just want her to go back on her own body..our poor Medea is suffering and I can’t take it anymore :(( I want action of Medea using her own body
