One of my fave stories!!! And Hess has to be my fave FL.
I love how you can actually see her scheme and work her ass off for all her plans! We actually get to see reactions from other characters (on the nose or ambiguous) and it's sooo gratifying when all her plans come true!!!
Since I binged this in 2 days, I also appreciate how we get updates on long term plans, like the soap business, sprinkled out the story. So it never felt like the main characters forgot and long term plans were left as afterthoughts when something like the soap is such an integral part of their plans (and romance plot).

It's so refreshing to see how much Hess simps over Kael. (And how later it was reciprocated with Kael gushing over his wife at the dinner with the ambassadors.) Its sooo funnyyyy but at the same it's sooo heartbreaking when you realize she's putting all this effort to distract her from the pain of being unable to return home. It's sweet really, how Kael has always been her source of comfort ever since her corporate slave days in her past life. Yes, she's technically a saeseng but can you blame her when she's still in denial of her new reality...even if it's been 2 years. (The road to healing is a tricky one). I can't wait for her to finally finally see everyone as a real human being. Because so far all her schemes and plotting is with everyone as fictional characters. I'm sure it's going to crash down on her but ofc Kael is gonna finally come save her. (Not wishing on her downfall!!!! But as someone who has a tendency to repress shit and with the plot now addressing her mental health... A breakdown might occur)

Our ML, Kael being put on the pedestal and treated so gently like this is so refreshing to see!!! Idk how to explain... but something something about where we expect the ML to come support or save the FL as she schemes early in the story when he's still suffering mentally. Kind of trope is being subverted in this story is so refreshing to me??? Idk it's realistic to me as a fellow depressed to be so uninterested with everything/everyone around me. I really love in the begining of the story, how he's simply being allowed to rediscover things he likes doing (art, flower arrangements, gardening) as part of his healing process while Hess girl bosses gaslights gatekeeps in his honor. Love the fact he is now mentally stable and healthy enough to be able to recognize Hess's self destructive tendencies and kind of is getting ready to catch her when she falls.
