ML saved her. the ex was still as crazy when he was given a clear warning. when the truth and the downfall starts, he was fighting the old head of his clan (his father? or grandfather?) cuz it was "his fault he had to follow orders and now he cant have her" and burned his house down (at the middle of the fight). cuz he was mental, the clan put him in confinement
