How That Guide Is Loved
Plot is kinda choppy
BUT WHO WAS READING IT FOR THE PLOT
The third perspective
When you’re in the mood for something twisted - wanna see a psychologist abuse his authority to lead a patient down the flowery path to gratuitous orgies, which results in a mental breakthrough with only ambiguous closure for any of the cast, alongside a smorgasbord of gratuitous smut? TBH, the closure was enough for me (SPOILERS):
The father is forced to step down after his mentally unstable son remembers his mother was murdered, the half-brothers reach an … hmmm, empathy? that doesn’t automatically include forgiveness, the patient outgrows his dependence on the psychologist, the former patient gets cut off from the object of obsession (tsk, write-offish, that character had potential) - and the malicious bully was “humbled” - I guess? - by participating in an orgy he had previously looked down on.
This is very dark, not fluffy at all, and the end is ambiguous. All it was missing for Toxic Yaoi Bingo was some gore and incest.
Rix Vanus
Interesting story, difficult to immerse. Ended up dropping because neither of the main characters have sufficient autonomy - they’re too much both victims of their circumstances, and no amount of smut (yay, smut! For this you get two stars instead of zero!) can really compensate for that.
The Director Who Buys Me Dinner
Dropped at 33 cringe for personal reasons.
Who Can Define Popularity?
GAHHHHH SO WHOLESOME. DYING ☠☠☠ Such a great change from the toxic yaoi I’ve been drowning in for weeks
The Guide to Entertainment Circle
Dropped at 56 for a bunch of actors getting into a fistfight with human traffickers. Nah, the story’s cute. Something bugs me about the way they draw lips at 3/4 profile, but other than that it’s okay
Stranger Than Friends
I was reading this on Lehzin and it was *so* painful during S2 when they were doing the angst thing. Bingeing it wasn’t bad at all though. Looking forward to the next set of stories involving the second couple.
