this is probably the first manga i ever thought about dropping. the very first scene of this manga (like very first, like prologue first) is very misleading. the younger seme seems more confident and is actually perusing the MC in the beginning but in the actual story, all he does is bitch and complain to the MC.
the MC had made it clear multiple time what he wants. he doesn’t want romance he wants to win, this is a fatal flaw to the story too. It’s a romance story but its kinda hard to write romance when the mc’s goal is no where even close to romance. its okay to have your MC have multiple goals but this MC just seems to want to win and isn’t even interested in the a relationship.
the producer at first seemed sus in the beginning but now is potentially a main love interest. this is frustrating because its obvious the MC is going to go for the younger one. As much as i love the producer I would’ve preferred him to be a big antagonist instead a perfectly good love interest that is going to lose to a whiny brat.
you can tell the author is trying to change the tone of the manga as well. They do well with it, but I think maybe they reached a point where its this awkward comedy drama. If they wanted to turn a more serious note they should bring something serious to the table, the dramatic atmosphere they are trying to present doesnt match up to the loss the MC will have if he loses. ( i know losing a cat is sad but with the tone becoming more serious it doesnt add up, in fact a side characters fake/made up backstory fit better) I dont know much about the character to have this intense feeling the author is trying to give to me.
The genre is supernatural so I dont think its something simple like 'they're just crazy' i think that night they were possessed. Maybe if you look in the mirror in the black room a supernatural being (like a demon or something) uses your negative emotions/thoughts against you by getting inside your head. The stronger the feeling the stronger the monster is. I would've actually liked to see them fight off their malicious selves but then, it wouldn't be horror would it? This is just my guess i think the characters are being manipulated by and evil spirit and since the main love interest was the most vulnerable to it (since as a kid he was already a little more weak willed) he ended effected the most.
I’ve come across this one a lot but didn’t read it cause people said it was dark, but does it have a good ending? that’s all I want to know lol
I wouldn't say it has a good or bad ending but it ended not like an abrupt ending but we find out what's really going on in the end and we dont get much closure neither does the mc
Hey I was debating on reading this manga or not. It looks really good the only problem is....it’s a love triangle. I don’t mind love triangles, I just get nervous cause I’ll end up loving one love interest but they end up not being end game does anyone mind spoiling a bit for me so I know what to expect? Haha
I hate love triangles as well but this one is the best I've read so far and I think it'd be good for you to read since it does get fucked up a bit but then gets back on track to the person we want the mc to be with

i need another story making an alternate universe so Cheng has a happy ending his story is so sad im gonna cry. i mean just imagine.
no family, assaulted, made a contract with a guy who just wants you as a replacement, just to accidently kill yourself just to please said guy hoping maybe he could like just a little. and then to find out the guy you were replacing took your body and everyones happier with that exchange.
i mean damn the kid deserves a happy ending. poor thing.

I mean look at it this way, it's not like the MC can bring him to life now after he was born in his body ╮(￣▽￣)╭ so at least he did the last best thing that is to take revenge on the people that hurt the owner when he was alive. the MC did it for him, so it's not like he didn't care. it's just there is nothing he can do about it other then to live his own life in his way. life move on ╮(￣▽￣)╭
I get that it's sad. But people die every day. If Mu hadn't taken his body he just would have died from an OD. This sadly happens all the time. I get what you mean though, it would have been nice if he got a 2nd chance to. =(
okay so the MC the one the died, is in another guys body? (cheng?) does he stay like that forever? and do people find out its actually him? also what happened to cheng(?) did he just poof out of existance? idk im okay with spoilers. reading the first few chapter made me sad though cause i really wanted him to reconnect with everyone im lowkey hoping hes alive XD (even though its confirmed he dead XD)

Yes, Yuan Mu is stuck in Cheng Jiamu's body forever. The relationship with Huo Yi (the seme) is getting better through time. TaoTao (the sister) and Huo Yi will learn that Yuan Mu's soul is stuck in Cheng Jiamu's body. And Yuan Mu will get his revenge to the ones that killed him. He'll get his popularity and the people that's close to him back.

Cheng is portrayed as a pitiful charater.. no family background, got bullied by peers, blackmailed by some scum who took his nudes.. even when he fell in love it was unrequited.. eventually he turned to drugs and died.. after his death, Mu's soul got in is how it seems..
its so sad! my heart!!!
But later in the story they get there revenge and chapter 148 is gonna make you so happy when u get to that chapter(:

He acts completely different in the prologue/very beginning of the story. Seriously, just go and read the very first chapter/pages. I prefer this version a lot better, we probably would've gotten a different story if The author kept with this type of character.
The character we see in the beginning is this 'jerk', logical and charismatic character that seems like he is actually involved in-the bgp plan despite not liking it. I can see this going in a more interesting direction where the character uses to bgp as an excuse to get close to the mc which can create dramatic and even hilarious moments and an interesting dynamic. Smug uke is the brains of the operation as the main seme has good charisma to pull it off.
The character portrayed tho actually in the story is....none of these things. Its like the author scrapped the character and put all his good characteristics into another character (the producer. He is smug, jerk like but charismatic) this is why the readers like the producers so much because its supposed to be 'him' the main love interest in the very beginning of the story. The main love-interest now though, it feels like he lost all personality, he has no goal, no personality. The only time we get anything remotely close is when he's drunk.
This definitely would've been a totally different story if the author kept with the original character from the beginning. That character was the reason I, personally, added this story to my reading list.
