No, because this is genuinely the most infuriated I've been in a LONG TIME. There are NO redeeming qualities about the Emperor AT ALL. None at all. His attitude just makes every time I see his face on my screen awfully dreadful.
The whole time up until THIS VERY CHAPTER I was seething with rage. I have no idea how Rael could fall in love with this bozo because he has done nothing of value for him other than fuck him. Did Rael forget what he did? HE KILLED DANIEL; THE PERSON WHO HELPED YOU THR MOST. HE ORDERED AN ATTACK ON YOUR COUNTRY ANNDDD HE THREATENED TO KILL THE ONLY OTHER HIER TO THE THRONE.
"Why do you look like you've given up on everything?" WELL MAYBE ITS BECAUSE YOU DESTROYED IT ALL YOU? You took EVERYTHING from him and you expect him to have a will to live?
What enrages me more is that we all know what's going to happen in the next chapter. Rael is not gonna die and he'll fall into the emperor's hands again and they'll end up living happily ever after just like NO ONE WAS KILLED?
I guess we're just forgetting about the king who, "Fell off of his horse." and DANIEL. DANIEL IS DEAD. HE WAS THE ONLY CHARACTER I LIKED.
I had such high expectations for this when I first started this but it really took a bad turn. I will not be returning. I see people saying that it's not a serious story in the comments but I feel like I'm still allowed to be upset about this? I don't know. I'm angry.
