you know the kinds of stories that are pretty typical, but just an enjoyable read? i can't really explain why exactly i enjoyed this so much, but this story about a guy who has to save his favorite second male lead was enjoyable right from the start. maybe it's the tropes i'm a sucker for, or the main character whose unconventionality i enjoyed, or the art, or the humor--idk, i just like this one!
i know a lot of ppl dislike her bc she comes off as very pushy but u will come to see that that's how she is, and she balances out jesse and cedric very well!! just bc u guys want jesse and cedric together doesnt mean christelle is a bad character, she is literally the protagonist of their universe. jesse avoids her bc he doesn't want to be caught up in the "plot", not because he doesnt like her. no spoilers but eventually, the three of them develop such strong ties with each other that you'll forget u ever disliked her, she's an amazing character!!
also stop hating on any female character close to ur bl ship. grow up !!!!

why did this barely follow the novel. just the overall timeline. but they skipped so many good scenes for worldbuilding and more importantly for ROMANCE!!! they skipped the feelings, the developing trust between jesse and cedric and the developing friendship between jesse and christelle. they completely sidelined aurelie's mentorship for jesse--she doesnt seem as significant of a character as she actually is. and because so many details are missed, u dont see how much the people of the palace like jesse!!! how they fret over him so much because he's so kind to them, and so many tiny worldbuilding moments are skipped, like the explanations for powers or the "almighty god", or the romero palace and juliette palace dynamics which, agian, was so good to understand cedric more!!!!
but overall, man, i just love twsb so much that i loved this. can't wait to read more!!! i forgot how early twsb was just cedric and christelle trying to woo jesse with every chapter LOLLL i love them to death <3

a slightly atypical omegaverse story about a recessive omega and the dominant alpha he (unknowingly) awakened. though the plot, dynamic, characters, and development are all quite typical, the author is just a rare good writer so it makes it such a fun read. a slow burn omegaverse with smut, an alpha who isnt arrogant, the best first meeting ever, gorgeous art, gradual development, and my fav part of the story: the mc, so well-written, makes it a fun read for sure!

with one of the worst starts to one of the best stories ever. this love story between the mc and his apparent stalker is the type to only be an amazing read if u r the target audience: crazily obsessed seme who isnt cold, not weak uke, hilarity, fast development, tragic backstories, and DRAMA. over 100 chapters yet i wasnt bored once, the author really knows how to keep you hooked and the characters evolving
Both yaoi and shounen ai (and a few non- BL) but all are so damn adorable and they healed my heart :’)
Ofc this list doesn’t have any rape or non- consensual activites, just cuteness and fluff~
