It's probably the best historical bl I've ever read. It's written so beautifully, and the characters and their pain just feels so real and realistic to the era.They have so much depth to them. Love the mc and the ml, even the side characters.

There are some heavier themes here like depression, attempted assault, death of loved ones, grief, slavery, but the author handles them really well, and the relationship between mc and ml is completely consentual, they have such a healthy, wholesome and healing relationship ╥﹏╥ its an amazing read. If I could only recommend one bl regardless of genre, it would probably be this one

(ps.: the smut is also top tier ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ but there's a r15 version too if you're not into that)
