I am kinda happy that chip cheated since I somehow wished he'd do that. It literally gives me chest pain all over. Not that cheating is okay, but personally I can totally understand if my partner has neglected my feelings to that extent. I admit there is better way, such as communication, but can you really blame Chip when Lauren turned a blind eye to what Chip has felt? Not to mention Chip is the one who keeps trying.
I don't know if it's Lauren's personality or something. When his friend told him that Chip must be hurt, Lauren looked so undisturbed that I just feel sad for Chip.

It is a beautiful story. I just have this unsatifying feeling that keeps driving me to re-read the second half of the story. I can’t help but wish there were more of their loveydovey scenes. I understand this story is not the lovey dovey type. I just feel so sad how shiro has been struggling to finally accept being loved and cared for. It also bothers me a lot that he didn’t cherish himself and got bascially sexually abused. The cruelty of the plot is what makes it kinda deep, but I am just an emotionally frail child ╥﹏╥ Just be happy please
Personally enjoyed it quite a bit. It is certainly some quality work in terms of the storyline and its artistic styles. I was able to follow the plot fairly well probably thanks to some side note from the translator( thanks for the hard work!) also I grew up in a culture with many exposures to Japanese culture. I really like romance in ancient times. It brings up some unique atmosphere for me to savor. The chacraters are also well developed.
Also totally thought it was gonna be weird to read based on the cover, but as they say never judge a book by its cover. Worth the read!

Shockingly good.......start is a bit cliche and boring with flat character development and a dumb uke. Later on I grew a liking to him......constantly having mixed feeling for the seme. Overall amazing story telling in BL standards. Definitely deserves more attention.
